The fact white hollow is doing everything to protect Ichigo to defeat his enemies and old man Zangetsu is the one who always respect Ichigo's choices even though he truly wasn't real one. "No matter what, they are still what we know as Ichigo's zangetsu."
We still know them as Zangetsu at the end of this show
Like the Juha side of Zangetsu told Ichigo, he never lied to him. It makes you wonder how long into Bleach's development did Kubo decide to have the final villain/head of the Quincies be the black haired portion of Zangetsu considering Kubo really did have Shiro as the one teaching Ichigo about his Zanpakuto.

For those that say that Bleach has a weak story. "Everything but the Rain" and "The Blade is me" is PEAK storytelling and these things have been foreshadowed since the beginning. Ichigo's Asauchi expressions and movements throughout the whole episode were weird and hilarious 😂

The old guy isn't yhwach. They aren't the same person. Like pat said, that quincy is just a representation of his blood. Yhwach and zangetsu have different emotions, thought processes etc. Its theorized that all quincys have that exact same looking yhwach in their souls but they cant see them because only soul reapers can go inside their inner world.
Yes and no, that’s yhwach from like 1000 years ago so he acts different but in terms of emotion and personality he’s supposed to be the same as 1000 years younger version. He’s just definitely not the same anymore. But again it’s not the main body it’s his blood/sp manifesting inside ichigo. It is yhwach but just a different/younger version of him that manifested.

Unless im forgetting something I dont think that makes any sense. Zangetsu isn't yhwach at all, hes just a manifestation of his quincy powers, and all quincy powers presumably look like the quincy king.

Also a reminder that in all of Soul Society history there have only been two other Shikai Zanpakuto that take the form of two swords and that's Shunsui and Ukitake and now Ichigo makes the third set.
We also get an explanation for why those three are special cases and have two Zanpakuto.

@@bleh2433 Ichigo has two because he has a Quincy and Hollow/soul reaper spiritual energy. Shinsui has two because him and his Zanpakuto spirit created another spirit for Nanoa’s sword. And Ukitake has two because he shares his body with Mimihagi. So basically you get two by sharing your body with a separate non Zanpakuto being.

So not only is it a casual “How I met your mother”/Romeo & Juliet romance story but the very balanced genesis salvation of who we are, our conflicting personalities/souls at war with one another finally finding peace as the holy trinity from an identity crisis, embracing your light & dark sides as the Yin Yang Abstract harmonized, reverting your roots and cleansing your soul. It’s all about polar opposites, interacting with one another, and making peace with them.
Bleach TYBW has singlehandedly made every Monday feel like an event and has officially become the greatest comeback return in anime history thus far as well as one of the best adaptations that any anime could hope for as it became the highest rated anime on IMDB, 9 week streak on Anime Corner as a popularity poll + it’s anime of the season/year, and although not credible even the 1st top spot on MAL (which it currently still is) 3 Effing times during these past few months in a matter of only 10+ Eps, not seen before since AOT, all while despite countless people catching up with the OG anime and not being able to see it outside of English speaking countries, meaning lack of availability unlike with others that have no setbacks, just imagine if there were none!
I can’t wait for July.

Twice in the series someone has tried to tell Ichigo of his Quincy lineage. The first time was when "Zangetsu" and Ichigo met, Ichigo asked him "who are you" to which Zangetsu TRIED to reply with "Who am I? Don't you know, it's me---" and he was cut off by something/someone preventing him from saying his name, Yhwach(won't spoil who/what does that).
The 2nd time is with Aizen. He tries to tell him he's the offspring of a Shinigami and a Quincy but before he could say that... Isshin intervenes and tells him "you talk too much Aizen" 💀.
It all comes together here in a VERY beautiful way from Aizen's involvement, his mother & dad and even the MAIN villain being here this whole time.

Against Kenpachi "Zangetsu" uses Blut(offensive & defensive Quincy ability) to stop his blood loss.
Later he transports him with the Quincy's shadow ability 👀.
In ep 123... White literally tells Ichigo "you wanna know where Zangetsu is? I'll tell you, I am Zangetsu" 👀. He was even hurt when Ichigo asked him "who the hell are you".
The studio also paid attention to detail and "blotted" out Hollow white and Zangetsu's names in the mid title cards 👀... F*cking SUPERB.
Kubo really has underrated foreshadowing. But the inked out name one is probably the most crazy to me. I mean that happened so early on in the series, and it was revealed in the middle of the final arc. Actually insane

So neither hollows or quincys have inner spirits, you wont see Uryu talking to an inner Yuha or Grand Fisher talking to an inner self
But because Ichigo also has shinigami in him, it worked like a source for both, having a representstion of the hollow (who worked as base for his zanpakuto) mixed with shinigami when Isshin saved Masaki, creating White Ichigo (White Zangetsu) and the representation of Yhwach Quincy coming from Masaki (Black Zangetsu or Oldman Zangetsu)
And Magic we get a cool hybrid with 2 badass swords
That's basically how I view it too. I personally think it comes down to the concept of an inner world that every shinigami has in order to communicate with their zanpakuto. We can assume this is specific to shinigami as the concept isn't shown to happen with Quincies or Hollows (Coyote Starrk may be an exception), so Ichigo having Quincy powers AND being a shinigami creates the right set of circumstances for a Quincy spirit to occur. What I believe happened is something similar to Ultron from the MCU, Old Man Zangetsu is like an AI formed from his Quincy powers and the influence of his shinigami powers. Ichigo's inner world is as much his home as it is White's, which technically makes Old Man and White roommates.

Both Zangetsus share the same motivation of keeping Ichigo safe but in different forms.
White Zangetsu would threaten to wrest control from Ichigo should he not get strong enough to face the obstacles before him and attain more and more of his true power, ultimately pushing Ichigo forward while also saving him from certain death.
Black Zangetsu would do everything in his power to weaken Ichigo in the hopes that it would keep him from danger, only relenting to White should the situation demand Ichigo get stronger to survive. Example being how he refused to let Ichigo acquire the final Getsuga Tensho because he was afraid that Ichigo losing his powers would only cause him more pain in the long run.
How Rob always choose a character who get packed everytime🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Ichigo and Uryu are cousins because the Ishida family adopted Ichigo’s mom back in the day.
Uryu Ishida is not a pure (echt) quincy. His mom is mixed(thats why she was a servant), his dad is pure.

I thought reviews meant you talked about what you just watched, gives your opinion and help to tie up the story, how everything related and how the story comes to where it is now, Ichigo been struggling with power control since he became a soul reaper between white and old man zangetsu, white tried to told ichigo so many times that he was his real power, but because of his thirst for violence and blood, ichigo relied more on old man who eventually taught him a lot, but at the same time prevented him from discovering his true power, ichigo was fooled not only him but the entire soul society by old man, old man never used his Quincy powers but used that of the soul reaper powers Ichigo have in him, the two sword represent white and old man, because that was his thoughts when he touch the sword, this TYBW answered a lot of unanswered questions we had from the previous bleach arc, so in a nutshell we can say that Ichigo went through what he went through to become godlike strong because he basically have to fight a god, the one who is responsible for his mother’s death. Another thing that was very interesting is that we saw how much stronger white was than old man when Ichigo fought Ulquiorra, even when he fought byakuya and when came out, telling him he was getting crushed by his own spiritual pressure
a plot twist built up for 15 years.

Bleach is honestly one of the greatest shonen oat and TYBW just builds upon all of it and reaffirms what was already great from the action,themes,writing,fore shadowing,characters,world building,and lore. Cour 2 is gonna be crazy I’ve loved what kubo has done with the added scenes, looking forward to seeing all the new changes and added fight/s kubo will add that differ from the manga

A fun detail: in both the anime and the manga, Old Man 'Zangetsu' never actually told Ichigo his name. In the Manga, it's outright blacked out of the text bubble. Ichigo just knows it after his first encounter with him, but it was never actually told to him by Old Man

Zangetsu isn't the Quincy that appears to be a young Yhwach. Zangetsu is the Hollow within Ichigo. Has been the entire time. "old man zangetsu" is Ichigo's inner Quincy powers that have taken the shape of Yhwach. They're both apart of who Ichigo is so he accepts them both as Zangetsu.

The blue sword that "Zangetsu" was holding was all of Ichigo's powers that he had sealed away, and now he was finally relinquishing them back. Now Ichigo in his true Shikai is basically comparable to Dangai or Mugetsu Ichigo, which is insane to think about.
Old Man Zangetsu was only suppressing his hollow powers so why is the sword blue?

It's actually stronger than FGT and Dangai is nowhere close to True Shikai
the yuha in ichigo is not the yuha irl, the one in ichigo is merely a representation of ichigos quincy powers. Yuha is father of all quincies so it took that form.

Honestly if Hitsugaya’s VA has to deepen her voice that much, wouldn’t hiring a male who can do a young voice be a better option. Also Fuck Tosen, if anyone has the right to judge him it’s Kensai, the guys who lost his whole squad to him and Aizen’s planning.
Hitsugaya's VA is perfect for the role, i don't think there needs to be any changes. Very versatile VA.

Could we please have Rob talk less? All the dude does is talk shit and give hot takes which 95+% of the time are wrong and or him misunderstanding/misinterpreting what's going on. He constantly has to backtrack and or state it's his opinion because of how wrong and or outlandish his takes are.
You can tell he's less there because he enjoys anime as a whole and more because it's something he can do with friends, while also getting his face into Cyberspace along with the opportunities that can help bring about. (Not saying he doesn't like anime. Simply stating out of the crew, he definitely enjoys and pays attention the least unless there's a character he gravitates to.)

@@bubbainc-k6u LOL No. That's not the case. There's a difference between differing opinions and reactions, and differing opinions that are based around incorrect information. When cold hard facts (even sometimes within the very episode the crew is watching, or in a more broad form, right in front of that's person's eyes/ears) are brought up to the individual(s)/people which disprove/contradict what that person/group's opinion is, that is another. This is the case more often than not with Rob.
The group will fact check him time and time again, yet he won't listen or care about the facts presented in front of him unless there's enough pushback for him to truly understand he's wrong. Other times he will base his stance strictly off of Filler information, or use it as a major basis for his reasoning and take that as fact.
Also, I didn't talk about how he reacts being an issue. All I said in those regards is, he'll seem less than enthused to watch any anime outside of when certain characters are on screen. He's less interested in anime overall compared to the rest of the crew. Nothing wrong with that, only stating how it comes off.

"everything but the rain" , remember way back in the first arc, when ichigo first reclaims zangetsu in his fight with zaraki, he asks Zangetsu to tell him more about him, and he says "Ichigo, I hate the rain" , later on, his inner world is under water when he is fighting tensa zangetsu when he was powering up to fight Aizen later, zangetsu tells him look at his inner world, where once there were tall sky scrappers now they are drowned in water. everything ties up so well.

To be clear: The real Zangetsu is the hollow within Ichigo. The Yhwach within Ichigo admitted he stole the name Zangetsu in order to make sure he lead ichigo away from the path of a soul reaper but eventually came around and helped him instead.
