@Ramon Gustavo Fukk you. You just replied to your own comment using your 2 accounts. 2 account, both 2 months old? Sounds SUS. Just play Amogus my dude.
This is what can be considered a cogent explanation: It introduces each term individually, references nascent terms to other terms, and in doing so holds no expectation of previous knowledge from its audience.
Damn man, I've been trying to find the video series this was taken from, totally forgot the name. It's very old school, but it's still very helpful and the representation of concepts are excellent. I once downloaded all of them but forgot I had them and formatted my hard drive =/ it was a lot of videos too
The problem with calculus is that it is poorly explained in school. You can probably teach child calculus in this format. I definitely would have enjoyed learning like this.
It shows the formula of the derivative of an affine function: the derivative of mx+p is m. The function x is the affine function that has m=1 and p=0. That's why he replaces it that way.
Always the old videos are the ones that explain it to you the best! They have an eccentric nature but its so special!

This is the only video that helped me understand what derivatives actually are. Still can't believe that this video is so underrated.
only a genius can explain in this way. Thank you

Best video to make sense of derivatives on TH-cam.
At least you could give credit to Caltech for this video. The entire "The Mechancial Universe" catalog is here provided by the originator, Caltech.

Starting at 3:25
books, teachers, this video is real thing. it helped me more than anything else
Excellent effort for explaining slope and derivative in a unique manner.100%.concept clear.
I understand completely what does derivatives mean after watching your video. thank you for providing the helpful video.
No one can explain in such a simplest way...thanks
Amazing!!! Extraordinary 💯
Wow 🤯 superb explanation
Best video I ever seen

Thank you for the good explanation ☺️
Where is this video coming from?
isn't the line supposed to be called 'secant line' rather than it's a chord? it extendeds infintely so.
I just get shocked after seeing the video.
Then I thought 'is derivatives are this much easier'
Very nice explanation...could u pls give about vectors also???

So High slope = haard work = success
Does anyone know why m is equal to 1 at 6:02?
It shows the formula of the derivative of an affine function: the derivative of mx+p is m.
The function x is the affine function that has m=1 and p=0. That's why he replaces it that way.
sir please explain a video on integation
Im pretty sure this was made decades ago.
Not sure why they called the secant line a string or something.
It cuts the graph f(x), taht mean section
Tangent it touches graph f(x)
I hope you you the wording
