The easiest songs are Five Foot Two and Shanty in Old Shantytown. You don't have to just work on a song. You can learn the chords and then go to "Bluegrass Backing Tapes" or I knew lots of misc songs and I just started playing what I could. I came across "Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" and learned to play mandolin chords on it. After I had the uke or 6 months I could play 50 + songs. Then I started learning Joe Brown songs. Joe and George were close friends.
Bb a bit hard on a 78-year old arthritic's index finger, but I'll survive. I've had the uke for a year. My advantage is that I also [lay guitar and 5-string banjo and mandolin. You are a good teacher, a comment from a former guitar teacher.
I've been working on this using guitar for my little fun YT channel, but wanted to 'bulk it up' by adding a uke part. This has helped a lot. Thank you my friend. I've subscribed. Regards, Dave
