Mega Man X5 was the first X game I played, so it's really stuck with me and remained one of my favorites, despite the generally mixed reception it's had amongst fans and critics alike. Thanks! I'm using all guitar plugins for this. The rhythms are using free plugins (search "lepou plugins"), and my lead tone is using "guitar rig" and modeling a mesa-boogie-like tone

I learn the whole song by ear (drums, guitars, bass, synth), then program/record an arrangement. There's an old trick I used to do-- try downloading "TuxGuitar" and importing a song of your choice in MIDI format. I downloaded MIDI tracks from the "VGMusic" website when I started out. The positions aren't perfect, but it gives you an idea of the notes to play. Hope that helps!

A year late in my reply 😂 but I recorded the track from scratch! I learned the individual parts by ear, then MIDI programmed the drums and bass, recorded the rhythm guitar parts, then finally played/recorded the lead track in sync with the video. I tried to get the mix to sound close to the original. Thank you so much!

I've followed your music for about half a year or so now, and your skills are certainly coming along quite nicely. I'm not necessarily making this a request, but speaking of Megaman X5 music, one song in particular I think would be very challenging to do any real justice to would be Mattrex's stage theme, the big flaming T-Rex. I want to try it myself, but I have no experience with guitars. If you try it, I suggest that you challenge yourself rather than take it as a request.

This is actually an Ibanez s-series, but it's got a blue quilted top like many PRS do. I wish I could afford a nice PRS haha
