    I like how every feature on this series has almost the exact same accessories. That's how you know they're using good stuff. You Aussies do it right... unlike all the crappy trucks here in the US

      @znovosad555 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      singletrackftw we need more market in the United States for real offroad accessories and stuff. Not the bald Mickey Thompsons on a rough country lift.

    The yellow tops are deep cycles as well... could be wrong but I think they are the only deep cycle that can properly crank aswell. Blue top is just a marine version. I’ve got two yellow tops in my truck, that way I can crank off the second battery if I need to.

    Having a scoop that big with air not directed to the intercooler, will cause a vacuum effect under the hood. Causing the engine to run hotter

  • @RY4NP

    I dont think it is always the CV angle that causes them to break. In my opinion it is the sheer size of the tyre, A 33 is a lot of mass. A 33'' front wheel spinning in the air then coming down and to a sudden stop will break them. I'd like to know how he broke them.

    These custom rear setups are killing me. No one in the US is doing this type of setup.

    • @brandonrichter6910
      @brandonrichter6910 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      actually we have a massive market in the states for true offroaders. we just don't have thousands of thousands of square miles with basically nothing in them and endless wheeling opportunities. off road capabilities wise, my trucks are just as, if not more capable than these, for the most part there is no need to carry an entire camp with you

    • @bruce-df9nu
      @bruce-df9nu 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Brandon Richter well i will correct you our vechiles in australia are a lot more reliable and capable than your american vechike that are massive heavy and only have lift kits we have all of this gear because our country is extremly dangerouse if you run out of water fuel and wverything and the animals are deadly in australia unlike your country

    • @znovosad555
      @znovosad555 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brandon Richter no we don't. We have ARB USA. And at that they don't carry nearly as much stock as ARB AU. Rough country is cheap and no good. There's plenty of places to go off-roading. Just not really in the south, north, or east. East like Connecticut has nothing because of how developed it is, Rhode Island has driving beaches, north like New Hampshire doesn't have much because it's mostly ATV/snowmobile trails up there. Out west there's plenty of offroad trail opportunities that make great over landing opportunities. Couple examples, Mojave Road, Rubicon trail, etc.

    • @znovosad555
      @znovosad555 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      bruce 130013 not to mention over landing requires more gear. It's not just "wheelin" like most say around here cause that's all they can do. People don't understand the difference between mudding/wheelin and actual off-roading.

    • @ZacharyE
      @ZacharyE 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wasn't trying to spur a discussion about US vs Australia. Either country could do with a custom rear setup. I just wish there was someone offering these solutions state side. Most guys here have a different mentality of using some sort of rack on the bed rather than removing the bed and doing a full custom setup like what www.outbackcustoms.com.au/ can make.

  • @velez910
    @velez910 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Raise the rear of the hood up 1/2 up and you will get better heat control over jamming air into the engine bay

    I have the same model but a V6 and honestly, it's so much better than the diesel, it's got more power, drives better, less servicing, but aussies are just OBSESSED with DIESEL fuel so values of the petrol v6 are junk compared to the DIESEL.. glad I'm not planning to sell.

  • @twentyfoursyc
    @twentyfoursyc 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You don't need to cut the body mount to fit 33's. Max out the castor with +10 offset and it's all good.

    Hi there cool rig, but can it be cooled with all this gear closing the radiator intake effectively? Me being in a hot Country and aware of overheating due to lighting and winch fixed in front of the radiator intake, we measured cars with gear fixed like this and found that temperature will rise on the engine / AC up to 15% ..just saying. But cool rig.

  • @chricol
    @chricol 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @ronny What's the reason for putting the antennas in the front of the vehicle rather than on top?

    • @Ronny_Dahl
      @Ronny_Dahl  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      because the 4wd accessory installers insist on it as its easier for them to install them. More work to put them on top and most people are either unaware of it or don't want to pay the extra money.
      I got one on the roof and one on the bar. The roof one is 10 times better.

    • @chricol
      @chricol 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for your reply! That makes sense now. I was wondering the reason behind this all along! I have no antenna on my rig except one for fm radio, but then again, I do live on an island which is 27km long so no real need for long range comms. :)
