the money is surely going to stack up on this project! what the sense in working hard if you cant spend some cash on what you enjoy! looking forward to the whole process.
I have kodiak c5500 2006 duramax. Looks injector same LBZ. In my truck diesel come to engine oil ,but no any smoke when I drive. One mechanic said Its return line Lake In said engine.his price to check 1200 But I can’t understand on video everything out of engine.no any return line in said a engine. Help me please to understand.
I’m not well versed enough to estimate that because I don’t have a lot of knowledge in cost difference to the lb7’s. But give Matthew over at Bitterroot diesel a message over on Instagram and I’m sure he could be a big help for you and get you in info you want.
Good question! Yes you should do that. On the negative side, there are VERY few tools that will do that aside from a GM tech 2 which is what I used on mine.
After pulling my lml apart I can say you are wrong. This gm has every size bolt head under the sun. They use a 12mm to hold down one fuel line going to the filter then a 13mm to hold down the other line going back to the pump. And everything is like this. I have my pockets full of sockets and change them constantly. I did studs and gaskets on my ford 6.0 last year and they only ever use 3 main size bolt heads for all the small stuff. I like my gm trucks to drive but not as nice to work on as a ford. Cab off for both jobs so space is not a problem. Ford took me less time to remove the cab also.
Aris Torm I also don’t have a lift I used my Dads farm tractor to lift the cab but google removing cab and you will find a lot of unexpected way to get a cab off a body including blocking and a few jacks. Where there’s a will there’s also a way. But I have done a list of work to my ford without pulling the cab and they look scary when you pop the hood but everything comes apart easy and opens up fast to get to the engine. Like o-ring on the oil rales take less then two hours. Can have turbo out in 20 minutes of a 6.0. Even a fully deleted lml I don’t think I could remove the turbo in 2 hours with all the well hidden hoses and bolts not to mention all the different bolt head sizes. GM looks better when you pop the hood as they packed everything down really nice to give a nice looking engine bay but when it comes to working on them there is more stuff in the way.
Awesome video glad seeing other guys tearing into these trucks for builds!!

They actually make a injector fuel line socket in 17mm and 19mm. Great video as always man.
You better hope you win Ron Burgandiesel.... You'll need a road map to get that one back together! haha
Lmfao olde
Awesome video!! I don’t know how you don’t have more subscribers at this point!
Hoping to change that lol, just need more shares
Great video as always Rustbelt
Great explanation of teardown!
Probley a good thing you are sending those things off. I bet your actual balance rates are crazy lol.
#pullthecab building a bad ass dirtymax . Awesome video as always!!!
@Rustbelt Mechanic -- Is cracking the pistons at 700-750hp a concern?

The guy did a good job of talking through what was being done but there was almost not video of exactly the removal process which is what I wanted.
Dirty max, 👍
Great video thanks.
A master mechanic that doesn’t even know driver side from passenger side
We all make mistakes.
Would it not be easier to just pull fenders off.?
What size line wrench is needed for the high pressure fuel lines?
Dirtymax_Joe 17 and 19mm
Do you what would be a good estimate for all parts needed to do stock Bosch reman injectors on lb7?

Looking to replace my injectors on my lbz do I need to reprogram the computer for the new flow rates?

Uploaded in the middle of the afternoon? Shouldn't u be working? Lol
The magic of technology and scheduled videos😁👍🏻
injectors are pretty dirty
Unfortunately, this will always be the case on an injector that lives outside of the valve cover.
*GM is WAY easier to work on and engineered better!*
I fail to see your point, or the engine itself in this video for that matter.
ISUZU Designed it .My ecm has ISUZU all over it

@@davidschmidt449 Pulling a CAB to do work is so easy at home as everyone has a LIFT readily available.... WRONG
