What a nice book. I am an addict to glue books. All the stress and worries are expressed. I'm making one that will have over 3,000 images. What a challenge. I was inspired by Relax Cut Glue. I'm having so much fun. Continue your good work.

@@magnoliabird yes, absolutely. The world kind of disappears while in the glueing zone. Everyday is better when I can craft. :-D

Love the beautiful harmonious junkety-ness of your book! Your style is similar to mine. It’s fun to make glue books/junk journals esp when they’re not overly “matchy-matchy”!and include actual junk. Love those filmstrips! I’ve used pop tart and toothpaste boxes, soap wrappers, tiny ice cream spoons, milk jug caps, shoelaces, even snippets of my own hair, lol (from a dye test … the color of my hair perfectly matched the page 😂) Keep glueing away and having fun! 👍

Liz, this is such a wonderful journal! Every page is special and meaningful to you and that’s something to hold dear forever. A book you can look at over and over and replay the initial feeling it gave you. ✨
I remove staples and do the 3 hole pamphlet stitch.

What’s the difference between this and a junk journal?
Hi Christina. Good question! For me a junk ‘journal’ has space for writing and usually lots of various papers and tucks and pockets with tags, etc. A glue book for me has collage and possibly paint, almost an art journal. But that’s just me. There’s “junk” in all of them. 😁 Have fun whatever you call it, right? Blessings, Liz.

Yes! An accidental magazine subscription but it’s such a good quality publication that I kept them all! (I may have a collecting problem… :-0 )
Thank you for sharing your work. Other than images you’re drawn to or experimenting relieving stress are they any other reasons this is a good outlet?
@@magnoliabird Good question! I like the color theory that happens while I am figuring out how to make a page pleasing to me, so that’s something I can file away in my creative brain. And the supplies are only paper things that are not precious so if it doesn’t look great it’s no big deal. It’s a new way to use scraps or magazines that would otherwise be thrown away as well. Fun. I am just starting glue booking. appreciated that you used the insides of security envelopes as backgrounds. Have you ever done a rainbow or color themed gluebook, each page a separate color?
I didn't know that glue books were a legitimate thing until recently. Even though Ive been doing it for a long while. Thought I was a bit strange for hoarding all these bits of paper 🫣 now I realise its a legitimate art form and it makes me happy. Ive embraced it fully. Thanks for sharing. I have been having so much fun. Its lovely to see other's assembled glue books and discover Im not alone in my pretty picture obsession.

My Friend!!! I have now found a new project for the magazines I have been hoarding --yeah, now Bethy can stop telling me to toss them plus I can use up all my scrapbooking scraps(that she also wants me to toss!). So excited!!! Now I gotta go back and watch the videos again 😊

So glad I found you this morning. Love the definition of 'Artrinsic' on your page. I've never heard that word before, but it made me feel good. Is that a real word/definition or did you make it up? Either way, that definition is going to get used on a page in my glue book.

Hi Martha, I grapple with how to define this kind of activity too. It could also be a junk journal but the algorithm likes ‘glue book’.
