Thanks Bobby, I’m a transmission guy of 36 years, I’m a diesel owner since 1997, and I put literally a gallon of transmission fluid because my truck holds 80 gallons and you are right it is that color or close, I live in the farm/ranch lands of Texas, no one ever bothers me, you can actually run a diesel On just transmission fluid I got friends that do it off used Automatic transmission fluid, I value my truck too much to do that, so I put New in it

Hell I did that trick all the time in my old 84 freightliner cabover hay truck with a 400 cummings. Helps lube up the injectors 👍🏽 but ya I always had my fuel receipt and tons of empty bottles of ATF lol
I had an old head show me this 15 years ago an I’ve been doing this for that long I serviced long haul truck I fill the fuel filters with trans fluid and send them on there way never had any problems with it.

I have a friend that does 50 to 50 on his old Cummins and before that he did it to the old 7.3 power stroke saves money and lubes the engine. As always be safe 👍
The only bad part is if you get accused of running offroad diesel and they pull your fuel filter, its going to be stained red. Might be tough to explain to dot.

If you can get it to the motor efficiently a Diesel will run of anything. If it's in pure liquid form with no chunks that muffukka will run off bacon grease and used chicken wing oil. And ATF can be used for all types of cool sh!t. Pouring it in your diesel sounds logical af.

This is such a horrible idea. It used to work good back in the day when ATF was just oil, but now with all the frisction modifiers and such, this trick will do more harm than good. good old 2 cycle oil works better
If you have DEf not good but def filter cheaper then pump Power service pulse cetain boost is best way low sulfur Diesel electronic injectors to close tolerance for atf at the price of injectors 1500.00 times 8 is a lot Some even go higher but old school diesel pop off injectors you would be fine even Two stoke oil works for replacement for low sulfur off flying jay truck stop got in big trouble over there adtive package basically ATF drop 10000 gallons put 5 gallon jug of ATF in

If you ever put heating oil in your car they can test it even many tanks full of regular diesel after that you put it in once and the plastic walls of the tank get it stuck in to. I once bought a used car and they pulled a test an my car was positive even though I never put heating oil in once in the 1 1/2 year.. Pain in the butt to get the evidence that I was not guilty

Diesel is the pump lubricant and also cools the pump no need to add oil I’ve had diesels do a million k’s on clean diesel and regular filter changes.
Not anymore. Todays low sulfer fuel does not lubricate. That's not even up for debate.
