I can't deny that this NV5 build has been a long time coming, but here we are and it's finally happened! This is actually the first time I've worked with any Phanteks products in general, so it was a new experience for me too!
With that said, relative to cost Phanteks absolutely nailed the form and function of the NV5. There are a lot of desirable features typically reserved for premium cases, yet they can be found here at this price point too.
Notably, I really like the intuitive cable management straps combined with the adjustable GPU support bracket. Just these two features alone are widely overlooked in terms of their execution but the NV5 implements them really well.
Let's quickly talk about those T30 fans too... They are quite possibly some of the best non-RGB fans I've ever worked with. The materials feel premium, the multiple speed switch is ideal for dialling in specific requirements but most of all they operate extremely quietly under real-world use too! There's a lot to love here.

The Phanteks NV5 & NV7 are two of the most popular cases on the market right now, and that's for good reason. It's not every day you find a chassis which comes at a relatively affordable price-tag with so many features and hardware support. Whilst I didn't embrace heavy RGB for this build, those clear glass panels lend themselves to a stealthy blackout vibe without compromises and that's something I truly enjoy!

Edit: the side radiator support shouldn’t say ‘140’, that was a typo. It should in fact say ‘120’. The case can not house 140mm fans in any capacity 🙌
NV5 is a really cool looking case and I love the design, it's making me question on whether I should get it or the NZXT H6 flow.....
@@greyculturethat would be a tough call for me to make too 🫡 that being said, aesthetics would no doubt play a big role as they are very different in that regard. Either way you’d be more than happy that’s for sure 🦾

I recently changed my case from one to another (airflow 4000d) and the experience, as a total noob, made me appreciate the calm and "slower paced" videos from Matt. 90% of videos I saw on the "build video" were just "yeah just put wires into "stuff" and then im showing 1000% speed on screws and all other "boring bits" you actually needed to see".
I love builds showcasing pure parts and mechanics. No RGB fluffed! That vortex the bottom fan created made me a believer in this and H5Flow NZXT cases. Nice job Mr Lee 👏🏽 👍🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽

Hard to find non rgb builds
Beautiful build! Phanteks need to also release the T30s with reverse blades like the D30s.
After watching a few of your vids I instantly became a fan of yours. peace

cool setup! 1:37 - side radiators 120/240/360 :)
stealth builds look great on an already clean/aesthetic desk setup with proper lighting
but on messy setups, a splash of flare and color ties the rest, like cyberpunk vibes

I love how the screwdriver has become Bart's chalk board. Great build, interesting case. The slant on the bottom weirds me out a bit but is an interesting touch. Heaps of room for activities tho. Nice. ^.^

i hope the author could keep making videos and more center on cases. I have seen NZXT, Lian Li, Fractal and more unknown. From your videos, the buyers could make a simple plus easy way to consider and choose which one case fit their needs. I got this case with an ASUS TUF B760 and a Sapphire RX 7700 XT. The RGB can look too much but I toned it down using SignalRGB. Optics are phantastic.

motherboard seems to be carved from obsidian with chopped edges and metallic shimmers, looks old school , and the cooling system has such a shabby look, like the ventilation in the smelting hangar of a steel mill. The assembly turned out to be in a sharp, rough industrial style

I'm looking for my next case which is gonna be blacked out. But I'm thinking on getting the reversed d30s for the back just to get some lighting inside of the case and beacuse the t30s aren't reversed either. Dunno how that might look. It's still gonna be minimal with rgb. Black it's just so much better and cleaner looking. Waiting for more btf cases and mobos to be released so one can enjoy a full blacked out btf build.

Yooooo this is a coincidence but I just built the exact same PC (essentially) only difference is I got the TUF 4090, I got the EK nucleus 360mm cooler and my Mobo is AM5, but the build looks exactly the same, I’m surprised someone else shares my taste for the non RGB look also with those T30s looking super industrial! I’m pretty sure the TUF 4090 is the exact same size as the TUF 4080 so yeah build looks virtually identical!!!
Building myself a new rig very soon. I'm strongly considering a Monochrome theme and maybe one accent light to show it off in the dark as well.

I see so many people on other threads saying all these new TUF boards are horrible. Is that true? I'll be buying all new to build pc soon and I've been wanting to do an all-black build since before discovering your superb videos. I've had my eyes set on a TUF board for my 7800x3d but seeing so many negative comments about the newer TUF boards, I'm getting skeptical.

hi! noob question... but is it possible to replace the cpu cooler you used here with the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360. the cooler in this video is kinda not the greatest that ive heard around and ik you said the fans must be 120, so ive kept that in mind, but i'm assuming the artic's fans are too big on the cooler? not entirely sure. thats the only thing i want to change regarding this build bc everything else is superb and itll be my first time building a pc this spring ^.^
