Friend of mine, we watch movies and anime together when we get time away from work and family. Recently we did a blind watch of several: Angel's Egg, Icizer One, and Riding Bean. Riding Bean was *bonkers*, like a constant heart attack with some of the most high-octane action I've ever seen. We were totally blown away, and instantly saddened to know there is basically no more.
Right on, man! I LOVE Gunsmith Cats and Bean Bandit. The only manga series I own (or really care for, apart from Berserk). It's criminally underutilised. Would even make for a badass video game, I think. So much potential!

They would start off shooting upright, then tilt the gun to the side as they held the trigger down so they could hose down their intended targets. Be it in a room or in a car. That way the recoil carried the SMG into the next target instead of them having the muscle the gun back down and fight the recoil for each consecutive target. That's how they carried out hits with the gun. (Obviously it only worked when their targets were bunched together, but that was a legitimate technique.)
This game SHOULDN'T exist. For a small team, this is...beautiful. I rarely get to say that a game hits that groove. It's a perfect blend of the 80/90's anime and hero cop motifs. It's over the top and yet perfectly executed. It feels amazing, but you only realize it when you play on the easiest difficulty that they put their all in making "flow" more sweet important than "speed". Its a magnum opus of a game, so few make their dream a reality.
The brazilian devs behind it now ordered a brazlian dub for the game with famous voice actors from Brazil, including the guy who often voices Schwarzenegger to dub the protagonist. They know their audience for sure.
I still REALLY want to love this, the aesthetic is so perfect, but the fact that the game moves so damn fast kills me. I want to explore this universe, just stop from time to time and gawk at this fecking beautiful art style, but when I'm always fighting timers and combos, it takes away from that, at least for me.
If your brain can keep up with the pace of this game, I imagine this is a constant dopamine hit. I'm not sure if my brain could physically deal with how fast this is. Extreme overstimulation for me. Might be the kind of thing you want if you've got ADHD.

Normal mode is easy to me but the challenging mode is whipping my ass. Don't care though, since the game is a riot. Just when I got done with numerous Cyberpunk 2077 playthroughs I keep going back to these cyberpunk worlds. No complaints here.
The game has settings that let you turn of flashing lights and camera shake. After unlocking all achievements motion sickness hasn't been an issue at all.
I think I'm pretty much over the gimmicky spectacle FPS genre. The flashy styling and crazy action is cool for a little bit, but honestly isn't very interesting after the initial impressions wear off.
If you guys like the look of this game I highly suggest the game post void. Its only $3 and has the same type of frenetic pace as this game just with a psychedelic spin. The games look so similar I had to look to see if it was by the same developer. It has like a 98% positive review rate on steam.
I like a lot of the ideas in this game, but I hate the time limit and it's really hard to see what the hell is going on. Also kinda wish you were eliminating social media influencers instead of saving them. Definitely a lot of good ideas here though.

Indie game shooters are either terrible or fucking amazing. It’s so peak. And they have humor and character very often, which is always nice… but sometimes just a *little* epileptic at times.
I like fast pace shooters, and I like Anime, so this is fine. That lady seen in the Peace Corp codec reminds me a bit of Asagi Igawa from the Taimanin series of visual novels and OVAs, and one of her portraits has that hint of Oboro from that same series. Side note, yes, I did mention the Taimanin series. There's always Action Taimanin that you can try out, if you're a massochist.

I was always annoyed when I didn't have the pistol. Chaining headshot after headshot quickly is the most fun part of this game
