This is genuinely one of my favorite 3D animated movies from disney animation studios, right up there with Wreck it Ralph. I love hard world building with deep and layered lore, but sometimes I enjoy movies that just have really creative and fun simple worldbuilding. Zootopia is one of those movies, they really had so much fun with the concept of an urban utopia but with the added twist of everything being animal themed. There are so many creative and subtle environmental things that I adore, there's so much attention to detail. And some of that environmental stuff can even be interpreted as symbolism (like how judy hopps is so small and all the furniture in the police department is so big, exemplifying how she "doesn't fit in", or how she may feel belittled by the other cops who are all huge animals, since they have more "power" than her) The plot isn't that strong according to a lot of people, but the movie has a sweet and positive messsage about equality, so I don't really mind it that much. ust a fun well crafted movie that is very creative and has a positive message behind it.
