I typically have the damper set to 4, which is around 105 to 110 drag factor. Drag factor is more important than damper settings because as machines age, and gather lint, it makes older machines need to have a higher damper setting to achieve the same drag factor as newer machines. So that is all to say, look at the drag factor on the PM5 before deciding which damper setting to be at.
