This definitely got me used to different. I avoided The Chosen for 2 years because I thought it was another cheesy, sloppy Christian media project that no one really likes but no one wants to say because it's "Christian". Glad I finally watched it. It's different :)
I agree, it's not "good for a Christian media". It's a good show, that just happens to be about Christianity. Even non-believers and non-Christians enjoy it, because as an artistic work, it can stand on its own.
You described exactly how I usually feel about Christian films. But The Chosen is literally the best Christain film ever and one of my favorite series...The Chosen is for a new era of Christian Media. It shows us that we as Christians can teach the gospel in a intertaining way through television. For me, i'm going to become a professional director and make a Sequel series to The Chosen... Maybe called "The Chosen One" or "The Last Chapter"-it will be based on the Book of Revelations (An apocalyptic series). And I will do my best to do God's work, through this near future series. Also, Jonathan Roumie would reprise his role as Jesus Christ-when he returns in his Second Coming. That would be an epic sight to see on the big screen. But he would have to look older and different as described in Revelations. Last but not least, I would also do a series based on the Old Testimate and again. Jonathan Roumie would reprise his role-but as the voice of God (Especially in the begining)

I thought it's going to be like another Jesus movies like "Gospel of John", story of Jesus etc. . But this project is a proceed different. I've been watching all the commentary from other believers too on TH-cam. Love this, how they portray, the real 1st century. Tears always watching any episode .
I'm not trying to attack you but there is no religion without Christ. Find a Christ centered Church that does not follow the current cultures and also supports your Faith.

We fellowship with each other, we learn together.. We serve each other, and then learn how our Savior, went out and Served Everyone, His entire Sweet Life.. It is Eternal.. Life is Eternal, Families are Forever... We want to be able to be with all our Families all the way back to Adam and Eve, to be able to sit at the table with our Master, Jesus the Christ, and feel His most Beautiful Spirit comfort and fill us up with his Loving Kindness, for ever and ever.. I never really watched “Christian” shows. The Chosen has made me feel and experience God in such a beautiful, authentic way. Tears of joy have come while watching.
I loved the choice of the soundtrack too. It was one of the first songs I've learned in church back when Christianity became allowed in the post-Soviet world of 1991.
Every time I see these parts I cry. Especially when Jesus walks by the crosses . This show has opened my eyes to so much of the Bible. I am grateful for it.

Hebrews 4:14-16 Jesus the Great High Priest Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Glad you are enjoying The Chosen. I don't agree with everything (don't think He needed to rehearse the Sermon on the Mount--John 12:49) but it is very well done on the whole. Jesus is far more accessible in the Bible than on any screen. What joy it is to be in the word every day. If we ask God to reveal Himself, we can be assured that He will answer that prayer! The Bible will come alive!
How I would describe The Chosen: personal stories of seekers who encountered Jesus and were transformed; stories which are wonderfully woven together to reveal the heart of the Savior, the heart of the seeker, and the heart of you, the viewer, all at the same time. This series is incredibly well written and acted. I look forward to seeing the Bible stories unfold from different personal perspectives which give added context, as well as, the significance of details that may have been overlooked in past readings of these familiar passages. The Presence of God has moved me to tears while watching this series, whether for the beauty of the heart of the Lord or for the conviction of my own heart. Thank you, Dallas and The Chosen team.

I've watched several episodes over and over and cannot wait until each new one is launched. I've shared this with everyone I know that would love it as much as I do!! I love how real this show feels when it depicts Jesus and his disciples. There's only so much that the Bible says, and a lot of things that I've wondered about the gaps in between, or the actual person of Jesus. This is no cheesy holier-than-thou Jesus, but Jesus who loved to laugh with his friends, and really felt the pain and suffering of the people he encountered. It's hard to wait for each new episode to come out!

Love this program and finally after YEARS OF TALKING TO A FRIEND ABOUT HIS SACRIFICE..WE told them about the CHOSEN AND THEY HAVE WATCHED THE FIRST TWO SEASON'S TWICE AND TOOK OUT THEIR BIBLES❣️❣️❣️‼️🕊️🕊️🕊️ SEEMS TO BE A GIFT FROM GOD FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS ❣️‼️

I watched a “The Chosen” ad before this “The Chosen” ad…. Double blessing! Season 2 has been amazing! The app has been one of the best streaming experiences I’ve had. Goes from my iPhone/iPad to my Apple TV seamlessly with amazing picture quality. Then there is the amazing and life changing experience of the series itself… talented acting, heart griping scripts.. breathtaking cinematography. This show is life-changing! I've been a Christian for over 53 years, and this has reignited a love in my heart for Jesus like nothing else. I've watched all of Season One 14 times. There's nothing else in my life that I've watched that many times, ever. It never gets old! The best way to watch it is to binge the whole season at once. Come home from church, feed the family and then just watch! SOOOOO GOOD!!!

I have read the bible multitple times and gone to church my whole life and this has answered questions and told me things that I have missed while reading the bible.... I have learned that there is little I can say to convince someone to watch this phenomenal show. It is disruptive. There is nothing like it that has ever been done before. It can't be adequately explained. A few people don't like it. Millions are amazed by it. But no one will know unless they just see it for themselves. Come and see. It's free. No preaching or cheese, in case that is what you are afraid of. Just something you have to experience for yourself.
When I hear the Beatitudes as Johnathan speaks them so beautiful I can feel the Holy Spirit wash over me as Jesus' miraculous word is spoken. Being able to give these moments more color and depth brings me great joy.

I am grateful for this series!! I love the Lord and always has. I now am in love with my God. I love him so much. He is closer than a friend. So compassionate, loving, kind, funny….he no longer seem far off but relatable. He cares so much for us. I ran to him several times in a day, just to say I love you. Talk to him about stuff. He is never too busy. I cried during both seasons, every episode. But I have a deeper understanding of the life of Jesus. Our God is truly awesome. Oh how he loves us…

I never thought about how Jesus did his first miracle, turning water into wine, because his Mom asked him. He was a son who loved his Mom. Even though Jesus said, "My time has not yet come," he did it because he loved his Mother. Oh to see the humanity Jesus took on for us & to understand everything He did was because of His love for us. The Chosen is different because Jesus was different. He rewrote our story! Beautiful 👏

I watched a “The Chosen” ad before this “The Chosen” ad…. Double blessing! Season 2 has been amazing! The app has been one of the best streaming experiences I’ve had. Goes from my iPhone/iPad to my Apple TV seamlessly with amazing picture quality. Then there is the amazing and life changing experience of the series itself… talented acting, heart griping scripts.. breathtaking cinematography. I pray for Dallas, the cast, the crew and their families everyday. (Because this must be infuriating Satan) Thank you for this gift!

This show is life-changing! I've been a Christian for over 53 years, and this has reignited a love in my heart for Jesus like nothing else. I've watched all of Season One 14 times. There's nothing else in my life that I've watched that many times, ever. It never gets old!

I have learned that there is little I can say to convince someone to watch this phenomenal show. It is disruptive. There is nothing like it that has ever been done before. It can't be adequately explained. A few people don't like it. Millions are amazed by it. But no one will know unless they just see it for themselves. Come and see. It's free. No preaching or cheese, in case that is what you are afraid of. Just something you have to experience for yourself.

When I hear the Beatitudes as Johnathan speaks them so beautiful I can feel the Holy Spirit wash over me as Jesus' miraculous word is spoken. Being able to give these moments more color and depth brings me great joy.

So compassionate, loving, kind, funny….he no longer seem far off but relatable. He cares so much for us. I ran to him several times in a day, just to say I love you. Talk to him about stuff. He is never too busy. I cried during both seasons, every episode. But I have a deeper understanding of the life of Jesus. Our God is truly awesome. Oh how he loves us…

I cannot get enough of this series, so I have re-watched season 1 and all of season 2 so far to catch everything I missed the first time. I have never felt so connected to Jesus, and pray for this to touch everyone's heart and make change.
This is the best portray of Jesus EVER!!! It shows he humanity and makes the story of Jesus more relatable to my generation. This series got me laughing and then crying my heart out to God. IT’S WONDERFUL!!!!!
I never thought about how Jesus did his first miracle, turning water into wine, because his Mom asked him. He was a son who loved his Mom. Even though Jesus said, "My time has not yet come," he did it because he loved his Mother. Oh to see the humanity Jesus took on for us & to understand everything He did was because of His love for us. The Chosen is different because Jesus was different. He rewrote our story! Beautiful 👏
