Hidden Gems in Santorini - Pyrgos & Megalochori

- In our final vlog from Santorini, we visited the lesser-known villages Pyrgos and Megalochori. Both villages are far less crowded and busy compared to the very popular Fira and Oia but they're no less stunning. We even came across some amazing "hidden" gems.

@@PeterandYen haha we’re gunna miss each other again!!! friend invited me on a trip to NZ in December but I’m thinking of Shanghai…Shanghai was the trip that got cancelled due to covid.. had everything paid and booked… but a week out China closed its borders… looking back if I was a week earlier I might have been stuck in China for like 3 years… which would have been fun.. dang, 29 vids… you guys planning on filming in Shanghai or just enjoy family time?
Oh wow! Shanghai or NZ would be an awesome trip, we'd be biased of course and would be so cool if you came to NZ 😁 but can totally understand the appeal of Shanghai! That sux to miss you again though but with all these close encounters totally expect that our paths will eventually cross lol 🤞😆 we might make one or 2 vlogs while in Shanghai but it's mostly just a spend time with granny and aunties trip 🙂
@@PeterandYen haha eventually our paths will cross… wish I could show you pics from my friend’s travels (one who is going to NZ). He has traveled to all 7 continents including Antarctica… recently he went from South Africa all the way up to the Dolomites… his photos are incredible… he doesn’t post videos on TH-cam unfortunately… he is doing a week in South Island solo and a week in North Island.. I referred your in-depth videos to him. Would love to join him but I have unfinished business with Shanghai… but we’ll see where life takes me.. safe travel guys to China!!

It's so peaceful where the local stays, must be the residential area for the more affluent
Peter's tomato beef stew 🍛 looks like a perfect lunch to fuel a decent amount of walking. Yen's fried tomato ball (flatten) looks like good starter, crispy is good too

Hiya 👋🏻 We arrived around noon-ish and stayed till about 7pm and yep we went around everywhere by catching the local bus 🙂👍🏻 in the video description we added some links to another channel which has useful info on how to catch the bus in Santorini as it's not the most straight forward!

Which transportation you use from Athens to Santorini , is it by Ferry or by plane ? Thanks from your new subscriber.
Hello Thank you for subscribing. We caught a flight over from thessaloniki. If you are going from Athens though the ferry is quite a good option. It's reasonably quick and it's a large boat so you won't get sea sickness. We caught the ferry back to Athens from Santorini.
This village sure looks less touristy 😁 and some scenes look empty without people. The view of the sea from the top of the hill is so majestic. ❤

Very nice video. Can you please tell me what is the area that gives Caldera view in Megalochori? I found the Chruch viewpoint on the map, but Talcom Rocks is nowhere to be found! It looks amazing, and we are going in two weeks!
