    The Hasbro figures use a flat elastic, so the leg elastic fits through those slots easily. Interestingly, the flat elastic allows them to use an arm hook in the center of a standard arm elastic (there are 3 hooks on the elastic) to hold the arms and head on without the extra plastic parts on the arms and neck post!

      I have rebuilt that figure with vintage talker parts (I buy tons of loose bits to play with) and had no problems with loose joints. I hope you had less trouble with other builds with that torso.
