Very suprised that his deal is only til 2028, considering he wont join until january 2025 and will then go to gerona on loan for 6 months, so if he then joins for the 2025-2026 season he would only have 2 years on the deal so im very vwry suprised it only shortish deal 🤝!!

He has ben scouted by city since he was 13, and demachelis gave city an exceptional review, he is both footed, pritty nippy, strong, good presser, scores and assists, good dribbler, and when fouled he just gets up and gets on with it!!

@@Its-LB no no U ain't an idiot, I have just being trying to find out if their is any clause for triggering extra years and it seems that it's not!! It looks like it's a signing that if he doesn't impress at Gerona for the 6 months city will just move him on, or when he joins city in summer 2025 he will be given extension and salary increase!! I am told his deal is not expensive at all, that it's 8m fee and 4m taxes, full salary being paid by river for a year, so basically for city it's £2.5m per season which is nothing I today's market IF he plays 50 games for man city river will be due another 5.5m and then when 100 games are achieved another £5.5m so for him to play 100 games at city he would have cost us £22m which would likely give us an exceptional player for years, or a good sellable asset so win win, and we could need all these players if city found guilty and are expelled as the whole first team squad would need to be sold or loaned out due to ffp restrictions in lower league!!
Was also told today, that when their season river plate finishes in December, he will come train with city at end and December and then in January before decision is made to keep him around city squad or trigger the loan to Gerona, so it's all down to the player to impress!

@@Its-LB and Fabrizio just said kalvin Phillips deal will be announced Friday, and the buy option if taken in summer is £40m, I had to do a double take, I mean if west ham buy him at £40m and city's loan fee of £5.5m now, city will actually have made a profit on the deal as we paid £42m initial fee and £3m add ons that he has never achieved!! That would be biggest shock ever tbh we actually made a profit!!
I see more likely it will be Phillips to westham at 40m and paquata to man city for £80m so we will have spent £35m getting him but they will be done as 2 separate deals for ffp reasons cos west ham and city will be able to use the incoming transfer funds for ffp purposes immediately

nah he is more similar to messi. actually he is pretty much the same as messi in terms of quality as a player at that age having just turned 18. messis goalscoring and assists did not explode until he was 21. he did score a sologoal as a 19 year old and a hattrick against real madrid as a 19 year old too tho
