Excellent video. When you are making this type of investment, I think it’s important to understand how things actually work.
Question: How do Struxure louvers perform in the wind? Do they make a noise? I have read negative reviews about the louvers rattling in the wind. Struxture louvers are single wall construction while Equinox, The Luxury Pergola and others use double wall louvers for better insulation, and noise reduction for wind and rain.
Question: Also I have read complaints about “water dump”….meaning after a rain when you open the Struxure louvers, water dumps down on the living space. Any experience with this?

How noisy are these in the rain? Does it sound like a tin roof? Can you sit and have a conversation underneath while it rains?

So is this is similar to equinox, same style of opening system. Is it just as loud when it closes and opens ? When I heard it for the first time I thought a louvre fell off lol it’s crazy noise. Is there a better or more high end product then this ?

Hello Serge,
This system operates quietly in a nice slow motion for total control to prevent loud noises while the louvers are opening or shutting. I will be working on some more videos for the channel shortly that show some audio of the system. Thanks for the comment!

So I have been doing my research especially after struxures bid was 90k. I want to be sure we are making the right decision. To that I found another company from New Zealand called louvretec.
Have you heard of them?
What’s the differences?
They are suppose to come out in less then 2weeks, trying to be ready.

So we ended up going with a company called Louvretec from New Zealand but they have reps in NorCal. They are much higher quality and have a much higher warranty. Struxure could not make our size work with having only 4 posts, they can only go 16x20. And we did not approve of the cheap rail system that they still use. For the cost difference, there very close.

@@sergenaumenko1145 Thanks for the feedback. I have sent Equinox a message to see if they have a Michigan distributor.
We did meet with StruXure last week. I wonder if they have changed their product since you last met with them. The samples we saw were great. They did not appear to be cheap at all. Our space is 22 x 22 and they are able to do it with 4 posts, the only thing was that we had to upgrade to the 8" posts and the thicker top rail.
