10W-30 is better for the 1MZ there. You need 5W if the temperature drops to -20 CELSIUS :D And I use it with the PS-1002 K&N oil filter, because it flows crazy and still filters.
I'm not familiar with the weather there but the 1MZ's oil needs look like this.
--29 to +12 5W30
-18 to +38 10W30
-11 to ++38 15W40
-7 to ++38 20W50
From the book! I use 10W30 as the temp drops to -10-20 sometimes.
