    I could argue both ways I think that snowboarding is all around tougher to stay up on considering the lack of poles. But with skiing when you actually do fall It's much harder to get back up and start skiing again.

  • @SkiDaBird
    @SkiDaBird 11 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    If there is a traditional ski area, it's Alta. Also, because boards are fat and put all the pressure on one edge, they wear down the snow really fast. Also, I'v seen a boarder hike up Baldy from Snowbird, then ski down the Alta side and he was taking a snowball about every 5 seconds and getting booed and yelled at.

    Deer Valley was also skier-only in 2012-2013, after allowing boarders in 2011-2012. But Snowbird, Brighton, and I think all the others are board friendly.
    You can't get on the Alta LIFTS with a snowboard, but it isn't uncommon to see a boarder doing their last run of the day on Alta slopes. You won't get arrested or anything. Hint: Snowbird is for Skiers AND Snowboarders and your pass is good for both.
    Not a lot of reason to do it though, besides pissing off snooty Altans.
