- Shinjuku’s best park has been closed for months. Now they have reopened at limited capacity to those with online reservations. We got tickets for the first day of reopening to check out the Sakura.

I hope you guys are having a lovely spring season. This was taken a couple of weeks ago when the Sakura had just started to bloom in Tokyo

One of my best memories of my trip to Tokyo in 2019 is the laughter of the children there. After school we could hear children playing outside. They sounded so happy.
Spring is such a beautiful time of the year . Love the red color tulips🌷 and the rich blue of the Irises , with the white Sakura blossom in the background stunning. Nice to see families enjoying the spring weather . Such a nice park to have a picnic after the long winter months. Beautiful

I highly recommend Early April. At that time, you can see Someiyoshino＝ソメイヨシノ(染井吉野) 🌸Cherry blossom and also can see some Yaezakura＝ヤエザクラ(八重桜) at this Shinjuku Gyoen Park＝新宿御苑.
What a beautiful place.🌸 I loved the big gnarly tree with the long branches that touched the ground. Under those branches would be a great spot for a picnic.
And the laughing children in the background was so cute.😊

I love the smell of the cherry blossom 🌸🌸🌸😍 I have a cherry blossom tree in our backyard 🌸🌸 it's not in full bloom but soon it will be and I use a lot of cherry blossom lotion and body sprays and shampoo and conditioner and body washes of cherry blossom 🌸🌸🌸🌸 it's just a very beautiful flower 🌺🌺 and the cherry blossom tea is so delicious.
Thank you they are so beautiful! I bought some Yoshino and Akebono Sakura trees that are only about 6 inches tall right now 😊. They are so cute and tiny. It will take a few life times for them to get as big as these trees at Gyoen Park. 😂 But perhaps maybe they will bring joy to whomever is living here in the distant distant future like these trees you are enjoying now. ❤️

i love this park it´s beautiful ! Lovely landscaped japanese garden !i saw a very nice Chrysanthemum festival in November a few yeras agot I can´t wait to come back to Japan and especially Tokyo whenever it´s possible and covid is behind us ( when would that be ? i wonder ) thank you for your cool videos Shinichi !

Good that they reopened the park but its silly that they want to limit the number of people. Look at how many people are near Satoshi when he was taking the photos of the sakura at 2:22. Not much social distancing there.
The Cherry Blossom kind reminds me of our Jacaranda tree, the leaves turn purple, almost like a flower around September October.

I actually got the tea from another vendor. There was a line to starbucks
That is a very pretty park . ??? What do they do with the cheery's that grow on the park trees . or are the not the kind of cheery tree ???
They are different from cherry trees. No cherries grown on them

Do the Sakura have a lovely scent like the flowers look and is there a difference, if they have a scent, between the white and pink Sakura?
They have a very subtle scent so it's actually kind of hard to smell.
