Honestly I disagree with him completely on Yumihari- I found her to be really reliable and incredibly fun to play at tier VIII, even the Adatara at tier IX was just as fun. I only just got Bungo so i havent had a chance to play her, but the whole line is super fun imo
Nottingham's C-turret is not super-firing, so she must show her flank to use all three turrets. You may as well use a normal ABX layout and have the ability to shoot in 360°.
Not sure of the order, but the list is "on the money." I would never spend money on these five, but I've played against them. The CB early this year allowing T9 with mostly T8 was about the time of the release of SYS. I got stuck in a bad position with a half health Balti 1v1 bow in to an almost full health SYS and no teammates in support.. Maybe it was the player, but I very nearly burned her down before she sank me, just by throttle juking combined with the terrible dispersion the SYS seems to have. Good vid.
The Halford is a good ship ONLY when you are on the side the enemy completly colapsed on and need to get all the way to the other side of the map to spot/burn the enemy
I got some russian tier 8 sub from the holiday thing. Not very pleased with it. First off im awful in subs, second it’s t8 so more chance to lose credits if not for its premium status. It’s just not fun for me at all. By the time I get a good firing solution on a target, it doesn’t matter cause F it nearly everything has torpedoes it seems. Thus before mine get close to target 1 or 2 cc / dd already dumped a wall of torpedoes at it n sunk it. I played 5 matches got a total of 5 torp hits and 1 kill from ramming another submarine.

I'm quite new to this game, so far only t10 techline ships are DM and Hindenburg. However, I doubt that I had worst battles than in Buffalo. Range not much further than spit, strathosphere shell arcs, citadel from every angle.
American cruisers are very island dependent. Hug islands (to act as a shield) and lob shells over them at enemies on the other side so they can't spot you. The heavier line (Des Moines) is tankier and more forgiving.
Buffalo is nice it's just super unforgiving if you are too greedy and overturn too much to use the back turret. The alpha damage is nearly unrivaled and having 12 shs shells makes you feel like you have the smacking power of a BB with even shorter reloads vs other cruisers. The back turret angle leaves something to be desired but the ship definitely has potential it's just it has a higher skill floor to get good games out of it
@@xxxthwagdrakexxx4672 You have that right. I either rushed or got left behind in Buffalo. It was unforgiving. DM feels much more forgiving, agile and durable. Got DM recently, however even in lost games i get at least 100k dmg. Part of the problem might be, that I seldom won a game in Buffalo and when i did I was at the bottom exp. It just felt frustrating playing it.
@@svkAssasin yeah, when anti air was more meaningful buffalo felt much stronger. There's also lots more fast firing ships at t10 nowadays that I'd rather play. Atlanta is still my fav tier 7 ship, however, as it's fun to have the high rate of fire at lower levels though again the island cover is mandatory in that as well haha.
If Picardie could at least hit stuff somewhat reliably it would be waaaay better, maybe even good.... WG gave all the other "Reload Bosster" Line ships better accuracy... why tf not on this thing?
Sun yat sen has become my favorite ship. You are totally wrong. He has enhanced secondary dispersion and good overmatch. Also main battery dispersion has cruiser dispersion. If you give full secondary captain skills and in 6th slot take gun reload, you have 22 second 457 mm gun and 10.5 km secondaries with 30 mm-%12 fire chance. Today I overcame on superships and in one match easly destroyed Shikisima one in one brawl with my secondaries.
Lord : With DD you should be cap[ping, you should be Spotting " but at the same timer Lord you are saying those BB who should be tanking forward to support will be mid range long range back there - guess why more and more DD players today just will not go spotting, will not go cap , will not do all the DD play , I really like to know the player base opinion on this great dilemma
Yumihari is by far the worst IIJN BB out there. Sure, it is a Battlecruiser but the fact that this thing is a Battlecruiser, it has way less accuracy than Amagi. The “Battleship” Amagi out class this thing in every aspect. Sure, it has faster reload and better shell Velocity. The rest of the aspect is worse compare to Amagi. Amagi has better armo, Better turn radius, more secondaries, more main batteries, better AP and better dispersion. Yumihari needs a Spotter to have atleast 4m better dispersion than Amagi. So, what’s the point of using Yumihari when Amagi does better in every aspects. Heck, Mutsu feels better to use than this thing.
I agreed with all of them except sun yat sen. The fact that you get a tankier than average sovietsky hull (along with being slightly harder than average to light fires off) while not having the limited charge dcp makes it a bulwark of a ship. The ap isnt anything special but if you can use its overmatch capabilities to its fullest potential yeah sure youll get frustrating salvos but more often than not itll net you consistent damage. The seconaries are also nothing to scoff at either, and besides if youre going full broadside in a bb and thinking you're going to be fine and tanky in almost all cases you deserve to get blown out the water
It was advertised as a secondary BB, but I think there weren't enough of them to justify it. I don't think it's a bad ship, but it's certainly not the most fun and can be frustrating. I also got Karl IV Johan from Santa crates and Navarrin when it was available and loving both of those so much more. Though I have to say that Navarrin is objectively bad a lot of the time. It's great when you get a map with islands, aren't bottom tier, etc. though. It's going to be a blast to play in ranked.
@@Joshua-fi4ji I get more than enough fires with them but that's because I love to brawl and do angled drivebys and that's not even with a full point captain build. The secondaries are also more accurate to boot so the quality over quantity works for the better imo. Battleships in general can be frustrating as you only get good results if you consistently lead well and the sun yat sen is no exception. Yes Georgia is better but karls guns don't overmatch the same way you could wipe out most of a cruisers hp through their bow/stern and make them panic while doing so, Id be lying to you if I said I wasn't frustrated when I first bought this ship but it's grown on me steadily and I find myself having fun in this ship especially in brawls
@@xxxthwagdrakexxx4672 I was going off of what the CCs said in their reviews. I haven't tried a secondaries yet (only played 1 game with it). For me (in that 1 game) the guns felt inconsistent. The results were good and the guns performed well over time, but the individual salvos didn't feel satisfying most of the time. So whilst it's not a bad ship, I also didn't find it the most fun. My opinions may change over time as I play the ship more. Johan's guns feel satisfying at closer ranges, which is true for a lot of smaller calibre guns.
@@Joshua-fi4ji yeah the guns take some getting used to but people underestimate this ship and think "I can just go bow in" and if you know where to aim through there you can chonk them pretty hard. Part of why this ship can get better over time is because of you learning how to aim through the bow and get consistent citadels (most of the time since the dispersion can be weird) when the guns allow it and how to take advantage of it's great turret angles and reload, it's also really needy in that you either have to have a 19+ regular point captain build or a 17+ legendary captain (which I have and used Jinan to level up and undoubtedly made this ship funner to play) which as a premium thats supposed to also have the added benefit of "training other captains up with no retaining penalty" to be dependant on that when other premiums aren't so much can make it feel worse than other buyable ships that can do that better too
why do we talk as if 32mm of armor is a good thing? 32mm is a tiny amount of armor how is it protecting ships being hit from 8 inch all the way up to 16 inch...confused
WG missed the boat on the Picardie. Keep it at T7 but give it petit buffs to the reload and sigma. Voila! You have a premium version of the Lyon that's a cruiser killer par excellance. But per your review the ship sounds like a pile of merde.
@@stevenchan3822 Way undergunned for a Tier 9, it's basically a heavily armored cruiser, not a battleship. It'd be a good tier 7, maybe an OK tier 8, but at tier 9, it's not good considering what it faces.
@@Norbrookcit’s a good ship at this tier, it would be OP in T8. And I have very good stats with it, you maybe just don’t know how to play it properly yet
@@chiracultrainstinct3d629 Yeah, I know if I play it as a cruiser at this tier, it's OK. Seriously, 305mm is tier 5 main armament (I checked my tier 5's). But the problem is that it's supposed to be a battleship, and if you try to play it like that you end up not doing well at all. It's main selling point is the torpedoes and the fact that it has a decent armor scheme. If you rely on its cannons, it doesn't do enough damage or overmatch most of the armor on its tiers battleships. And yeah, always blame the player.
How the Japanese battlecruiser line could have gone. Tier 8: Amagi- would be moved here since she is a battlecruiser but she gets the improved spotter and her bow and stern become 25mm, tier 8 battleship slot replaced with a modernized Tosa class battleship. tier 9: Adatara- stays mostly the same, however the 32mm torpedo plating is reduced to 30mm and the ship can go 32 knots base from 30 knots. tier 10: Renamed Fuji after one of japans 3 famous mountains. instead of the No 13 (K) Variant in game ( to which the Bungo is based off), it would be replaced by a Variant that resembled the Kii design but larger with a 330mm armor belt with 32mm torpedo plating. This Design sacrificed one turret to bring the gun total to 8 guns down from 10, but the caliber would be upgraded to 460mm/50 caliber guns (Which was historically designed for some of the No-13 class ships but no weapons of this type were ever manufactured even when these were designed ). Giving its shells higher damage and the ability to over-match 32mm plating like Yamato but has 1 less gun and less accuracy then a legendary mod Yamato. The speed should be increased to around 34 knots. I wished the Japanese battlecruisers felt a little more fast paced, because their base speed in game it not much faster then a brisk and speed flag Yamato which could outpace them. While the Bungo is a good Ship it just feels like I'm playing an Amagi at tier 10.
@@jaysonnunley6602 im aware they are somewhat classified as "fast Battleships" that sacrificed armor protection in exchange for speed and armament, and yet even if they are fast battleships, the Bungo in Game in game is a battleship design. With all due respect, why would you call me out saying my replacement is a battleship design and not a battlecruiser when the Bungo in game is not battlecruiser either, Its the K Variant of a No.13 Class battleship designs.
@@denis4096 I Admit Bungo is a Fun secondary build ship because of the 100mm guns and the 140s. Its great in Clan battles, its secondaries are on par with German secondaries and Ohio secondaries.
Yumihari has 8 410cm guns . . . At T8 we have Ships like Amagi with 10x 410cm ok but Northca with 9x 406cm or the Richelieu with 8 381cm guns . . . . But yes Yumihari is "UNDERGUND" Oh and no, Battlecruisers were never ment to hunt down Cruisers 😂 they are literally just Battleships with less armor so they can be faster . . . Oh and 31.6Knots is not slow even for T10 if we consider that most T10 Battleships only go 29-30 Knots . . . . The Yumihari is not a bad ship if u play her like shes ment to be . . . A long range sniper (thats why she has that special Plane if u didnt notice)
Yumihari has 8 410mm guns, didn't he say that in the video? Compared to Amagi, she's got worse armor, worse alpha, worse pen to trade for minimal advantage in accuracy and speed, both are almost irrelevant when uptiered. The plane is neat but she can't punish broadsides that well due to the awful pen. There's almost nothing going for her. Try to get the facts correct before trying to sound smart
He wrote 457 first and changed it to 410, or I misread it. When I said configuration I meant same guns and layout as nagato with 4 twin turrets. So SIR I am Sooooo sorry for my misinformation@@atvo3485
He said undergunned when taking into account her other stats, which yeah is absolutely true. She has mediocre speed at best, terrible armor and to make up for that she should have excellent guns.. but she doesn't.

Honestly I disagree with him completely on Yumihari- I found her to be really reliable and incredibly fun to play at tier VIII, even the Adatara at tier IX was just as fun. I only just got Bungo so i havent had a chance to play her, but the whole line is super fun imo
You should do top 10 worst submarines.
I see what you did there.
Good vid.
about Yumihari's AP penetration ............. is the Bismarck's which can overmatch most of T9 CA with better Dispersion.
The Halford is a good ship ONLY when you are on the side the enemy completly colapsed on and need to get all the way to the other side of the map to spot/burn the enemy
No mention of kitakami?
Halford would be so much better if it had Tromp-style plane mechanism
I got some russian tier 8 sub from the holiday thing. Not very pleased with it. First off im awful in subs, second it’s t8 so more chance to lose credits if not for its premium status. It’s just not fun for me at all. By the time I get a good firing solution on a target, it doesn’t matter cause F it nearly everything has torpedoes it seems. Thus before mine get close to target 1 or 2 cc / dd already dumped a wall of torpedoes at it n sunk it. I played 5 matches got a total of 5 torp hits and 1 kill from ramming another submarine.
Isn't the fact that the US Navy ditched "the plane on DD" concept a clue that the Halford would suck
The US Navy also ditched the concept of battleships.
I'm currently 3k coal short of my first coal ship any ideas what I should get ?
Napoli, no contest
off topic, but I would love if you have some info or did a video on the upcoming changes to CV's, I read them and in writing they are horrifying, I hope my opinion changes dramatically. Send help , thank you SLM
I think the friday video covered the CV/Sub Dev article?
@@malguskerensky ill look for it, my bad if there is one i missed
Just uninstalled the game today. Feels good. Would recommend. My last match saw me in a T6 Fuso BB in a T8 battle with two CVs and two Submarines on each team. Both carriers dropped torps on me non stop after the third minute of the game. 🤦♂️
Could someone help me... yoshino or azuma??
as a french i need to protest!! we didn t make the napoleon movie XD but yeah picardie is just bad it should have been a down tier of the Lyon... and i have ALL french ship ( but i ain t touching that), now we just need the supership prenium that is republique with reloadboosteer?
As a Kii player, i did not find Yumihari bad.
But Kii brings more money, so i will use it rarely.
Yumihari is better then Amagi.Maybe not the best T8 but better then the T8
@@dragonhunter9371 Trye. But Kii has a special money booster, so it's still my primary money maker.
Already forgot about the Picardie lol
The back turret angle leaves something to be desired but the ship definitely has potential it's just it has a higher skill floor to get good games out of it
@@dangoodall1253 I see what you mean. Just... when I do it with DM, I get better results. Way better, even in lost game I can manage at least 100k dmg
Never seen a Halford nor Nottingham in game.
Hybrid ships would have worked better in the old RTS aircraft play.
I always get scared when I see these worst ship type videos. I always hope not to see one of my ships in the list😅
Some other strong contenders; Daisen, Michelangelo, Tone, Iwami, Italian CV
Halford is sad just like Tone, shame because it would be so cool if it was good!
Number 0: Tiger '59
Where’s Kitakami ?
I cant agree about Yummy... I think she is a good ship... I had no bad experiences in her at all... I don't own the others
Kitakami should be on here. Haha. For what you give up
Hello there
General kenobi
@@angelmin8819@linnymiddy *battle droid noises
You are a bold one.
Should’ve been 5 different subs tbh.
Part of why this ship can get better over time is because of you learning how to aim through the bow and get consistent citadels (most of the time since the dispersion can be weird) when the guns allow it and how to take advantage of it's great turret angles and reload, it's also really needy in that you either have to have a 19+ regular point captain build or a 17+ legendary captain (which I have and used Jinan to level up and undoubtedly made this ship funner to play) which as a premium thats supposed to also have the added benefit of "training other captains up with no retaining penalty" to be dependant on that when other premiums aren't so much can make it feel worse than other buyable ships that can do that better too
@@xxxthwagdrakexxx4672 I set him up for Bajie a while ago so am stuck with a tank build unless I reset him.
it is like the saddest sound why you say " I don't know why" .
So where is the Kitakami I ask ?
why do we talk as if 32mm of armor is a good thing? 32mm is a tiny amount of armor how is it protecting ships being hit from 8 inch all the way up to 16 inch...confused
I disagree Halford can be very good the opportunity to send a plane to spot enemy DDs can be very powerful for contest caps
OMG 20 minutes ago!
WG missed the boat on the Picardie. Keep it at T7 but give it petit buffs to the reload and sigma. Voila! You have a premium version of the Lyon that's a cruiser killer par excellance. But per your review the ship sounds like a pile of merde.
I'm surprised the PanEuropean battleship the Karl XIV Johan didn't make the list. A tier 9 battleship with 305mm main battery.
Karl XIV? Worst? What?
Karl XIV is one of the good ships of 2023.
While the Bungo is a good Ship it just feels like I'm playing an Amagi at tier 10.
yet abother person that doesnt seem to realize that the no.13 designs were battleships not battlecruisers
Amagi isn't bad at all. Well played she is a fun ship but it depends on the situation. Sometimes I switch to sec. build and troll the enemy team 😆.
HA! I knew Picardie would be #1, what a piece of crap, EVERY SINGLE THING that made the Lyon good, is bad on a HIGH TIER ship, except the armor...
Where is kitakami ?? It should have been there, very expensive ship zero fun.
Nottingham at fourth worst and not the Sheffield?
dont like the bungo .. lawl
can you release the BSPRM 2.0 MOD in 2024 , seaLord
I hate Marco Polo
Yumihari has 8 410cm guns . . .
At T8 we have Ships like Amagi with 10x 410cm ok but Northca with 9x 406cm or the Richelieu with 8 381cm guns . . . . But yes Yumihari is "UNDERGUND"
Oh and no, Battlecruisers were never ment to hunt down Cruisers 😂 they are literally just Battleships with less armor so they can be faster . . . Oh and 31.6Knots is not slow even for T10 if we consider that most T10 Battleships only go 29-30 Knots . . . . The Yumihari is not a bad ship if u play her like shes ment to be . . . A long range sniper (thats why she has that special Plane if u didnt notice)
Yumihari has 410 mm in the same configuration as Nagato
The comment I replied on said 457 and after I commented he changed to 410@@jagerdergroe8604
Skull and bones is terrible
Well, I gave you a chance. The "Hello Good People of TH-cam" is ANNOYING............... Unsubscribed.....
Yumihari shall not pronounced as yu-mi-ha-ri, it shall be yu-mi-ha-li, Japanese didn’t have ‘r’ sound, their ‘r’ will be ‘L’ sound. Thx
Sun Yet Sen is one of the best T9 BBs. These "top 5" are such a joke now
