There are more than 100 dialects in the Philippines. The Filipino language is a combination of Malay, lots of Spanish, a little bit of Arabic and Chinese. Filipino is the academic language which is a more formal form of Tagalog. Tagalog is one of the widely used dialect in the country. Most of the people in the entertainment business speaks English and Tagalog in the same sentence that I find really annoying.
