So I picked a set of these up from TKMaxx a month ago and this has been really helpful for showing me how to use them!!! I've been sat wondering what to do with them until today, so thank you!!!

Even with only twelve colors, you can do so much, especially with the blending capabilities of these fun and unique creams? Paint sticks? Crayons? Whatever they are, they're fun!

So are these to be mixed like paint? Or draw with them like a crayon or something lol. I am not sure how to use them. Do I have to mix with water or something? Are these more for children?
Ummm, I have to just say yes. They're very unique because you can mix them like watercolors in a palette or use them like crayons on paper directly. I'd say they're for anyone. It's a truly unique experience.
I got mine at Tuesday Morning for $6.99. Set of 12. I really tried TH-cam to find out if the Kingart Co gel sticks are lightfast. I may want to use them as background color and then stamp with ink or acrylic paint. No one so far addresses this question. Does anyone know???

@@SilverHyenaTV Thank you so much for responding to my comment! And yes, I love having so many color choices! But there are times when having so many choices makes it hard to choose lol! And I love how they came packaged as well. There are 6 plastic containers with 12 gel sticks in each one, and the plastic is clear but it has a shimmery look to it. It came with classic colors, metallic, and also some pastel colors. A friend of mine who went to art school suggested the Kingart brand to me, and so far I have zero complaints about the quality of their products! I apologize for the long comment but I thought it might help others who read it to decide if they would like to get this set of gel sticks or not! Much love!
@@SilverHyenaTV Lol! I would gladly share my set with you if I could! I've found that they work best when you scribble with them onto a palette and pick up the color with a wet brush and apply it to your page that way. The quality isn't bad but they're definitely not neocolor II (lol) so when I lay the color on my page and then activate it with a wet brush, the color doesn't spread out as well. It gives me better control over where the color goes and makes it more evenly smoothed out when I put some color on the palette and pick up the color with a wet brush and then apply it to my page

I've seen some smaller sticks advertised as sharpenable, so that should be doable. One could save the shaved off bits to dissolve in water. 💧 😀
