    Hi Renee.
I'm 65. Peri menopause at 37 and Menopause started at 47.
My hair thinned out during the first few years of menopause and it did come back. I also took a Keratin hair supplement.
I'm recovering from a stroke that happened in 2020. My hair thinned out and I took my Keratin supplement. It's thickening gradually.

Sorry to hear about the stroke, Rose. I hope you continue to recover well. It's good to hear that the hair comes back, thank you!

I'm literally going through the same...just went to the dermatologist for a blood test to rule out thyroid, AGA and TE...ugh, it's really depressing when your hair starts to thin.

My irestore has made a huge difference. I use it every morning (it’s fine to do so, you don’t have to miss a day). Also washing my scalp with la Roche Posay Lipikar AP+ cream wash instead of shampoo has been a game changer. Xx

The la Roche posay has Sodium laureth sulfate which causes hair loss

I'm 44 and perimenopause started a few years back. I got very into my scalp and hair health when i started losing a lot of it. I have never been able to take fish oil, but apparently pumpkin seed oil is a great supplement for hair health. Great tips!! I love using the amla tool for scalp massages... But that electric one looks so 🤩

I love my Irestore! I have seen hair regrowth from dormant follicles! Another amazing thing I noticed is a lot of the hair that is growing in my natural brunette color instead of the grey/white around my face!

I used to have too much thick hair. Cut to now at 52 and was losing so much. I am taking Viviscal tablets and they seem to be working. A little miracle.

I didn’t realize you could do Gua Sha on the scalp too. I’ve been doing Detumescence Therapy. It’s basically scalp massages that involve pinching, pressing and stretching to relieve tension, which is believed to play a role in balding. I’m on month 8 of doing them and I’m seeing results, although veeeeery slowly (I’m a guy). It’s not a well known treatment so I like to mention it whenever I can.
Microneedling is also another great one that I’m considering if I don’t see any further progress from the massages.
Throw in some DHT blocking oils with Rosemary and you’re good 👍

I just got a ton of bloodwork done from my OB - cant figure out why my hair is shedding aggressively and I just turned 30, but I bought the scalp massager and got it today - feels so nice!

i've lost a lot of hair over the past few years and i'm turning 30 this year. i was thinking it was anemia or my thyroid but i've been taking iron for a few years now and my thyroid has been tested a ton because i did have a couple nodules on one side and just got half of it removed a few months back and my tests for thyroid hormones have been in range. i've always had thin and fine hair but it's been a lot more noticeable now than before

I have felt a difference in the texture of my hair since I started using LED on my scalp. I’ve only been committed to it for the last 3 weeks every other day and my hair feels better conditioned and thicker to the touch. I’ll continue to use it!

I picked up an iRestore last April! For male-pattern baldness, prevention is key! I’ve been on finasteride and use a dandruff shampoo a few times a week (à la Dr. Evan Rieder)… I hate applying minoxidil as well, so I felt the iRestore was a good compromise.

    • @gothamista

As someone with naturally very curly hair I have often let my hair “damp dry” overnight and have also chronically suffered from an irritated scalp and a TapN of shedding. This info is SO helpful!! Thank you! (@SamanthaMarch I wonder if you might also find this video helpful 🤗)

I started using minoxidil and within days developed sever red patches, irritation, spots and bleeding of my scalp. Unfortunately I am allergic to it and cannot use it. I tried the ordinary multi peptide hair serum and developed irritation and like allergic hives again. I am at loss. My hair loss is due to PCOS and stress, also naturally very fine and thin hair.

Are the led lights on the I restore different than led face masks ? Could you just lay a mask on your head for 10 minutes?

    • @gothamista
      @gothamista  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi! Yes, that's what I did prior to using the iRestore - I put an LED patch on the top of my head. The difference is that iRestore uses laser light therapy as well!

The clippable battery for IRestore is ar an extra cost. I was also supprised to see it only comes with a plug in for US, you need to buy your own adapter. For the price, you think they could add some in. I became a fan of led after buying currentbody mask for face and neck, they came with adapters.

I tried a hair growth helmet and it didn’t work for me, but maybe I was too impatient. I started using Canprev Healthy Hair and I went from losing over 100 hairs a day to 40-60 a day (yes I actually counted). The magic ingredient in it is millet seed extract. This supplement decreases the telogen phase and promotes hair growth. I noticed less hairloss within a month. I was shocked it actually worked and then returned my helmet.

I count mine too! Heartbreaking🤨 Do you still recommend Canprev? I’m not shelling out for Nutrafol and biotin isn’t proven to really help. Female closing in on 70 but care enough to have purchased irestore but unsure of benefit
