The level of competition is honestly insane. These guys are beyond impressive on a skills analysis, but also mentally as competitors. Really really impressive

This gaggle of boys are absolutely spectacular. Doing their grindy things and spinnies and what not. It's absolutely wonderful and I am having so much fun. I just hope this isn't a phase.

Why aren't these guys in the Olympics? I'm confident they would score so much in both Street and Park categories :P
I guess after skateboarding go mainstream or regular in Olympics, guys like them will be in.

Since the Olympics has a strict anti-drug policy, a lot of skaters wouldn't have made it unfortunately :(
Totally different formats. The actual park is nowhere near the same size so its much more difficult to achieve competent tricks in the Olympics

We need more hype/trick-knowledge from the announcement team. An incredible show from the athletes👏there was some raw talent.
Pace and bottger both worthy winners, incredible runs
There's a clear gap for me in difficulty between #1 and #2 runs. However Gavin Bottger will be remembered by everyone in the room, and I think some of the other guys who started going pro around the same age really acknowledge him. They already did score him a bit higher I believe, because he's so young.

We've been doing some of that the past year!

I’m surprised Schaar didn’t do a safety run early on without the big spin back disaster. Everything else seemed so dialed in. Guess he just wasn't satisfied without it

Madness Skateboards, their holographic series. He has a pro model there. It's an impact light deck. I remember that from the Spring 2021 batch.
Why didn't the young guy win? He was obviously much better than the older kids. Doesn't make any sense.

I think clay should have won, great tricks, lots of trick variations, maybe not the best style but he did the cleanest run imo.

Concussions are top 3 most common injuries in figure skating, I don't see them enforcing helmets on that, yet if they wanted to wear one it would be refused, but skateboarders can if they want, and do often enough.
