    I think I'd prefer to not have the platforms step down on the side, but I'd like them all on the same height

    21:52 You could use the connection you have through the workshops etc. if you build an overhang on top of a couple of platforms, you can build a bridge across the waterwheels. Because they are continuously connected on the other side through the buildings, you can disconnect the continuous powerline on the back to make some room for ladders. If you then build down a couple of said ladders from the previously mentioned overhang, you’d easily connect a path from the industrial area overtop of the waterwheels to the path running on the backside of the waterwheels/map!

    Personally I'd like to see at least 512 bio beavers and 256 bots on this map. Also might need to increase the number of haulers, prioritization of the gathering buildings, and maybe even some of the tier 2 breeding pods that way the factory buildings can continue to work at full capacity. (You had a lot of grown oaks on the map at the end of the episode so there was something up with the supply chain, access, and/or priority of those lumberjacks)

    14:20 - I would put ladders directly in front of the wood workshop entries, not just at the sides.

    @32:56, I like the haulers having a place to put input and output items. Meaning an unfinished item is left out to where it will be processed and a finished good can be stored more centrally for the colony. So using small piles and small warehouses allows buildings to operate at full efficiency. Otherwise a building’s worker will leave the building and bound off to the ‘nearest’ storage (which can be too far if you don’t design the map correctly).
    Rather its best to leave a few stores of gears by each of buildings that consume gears.

    Is there a way to do the "step-down" and put the wind tunnels on the steps part? Would be great to see the floating beavers at multiple heights

    → Reminder: Don't foreget the irrigation barriers on the border of the badwater channel.
    10:05 The space where these 3×1 overhang platforms are based would give enough space for a path, but you have the path in front of them (where you later put normal platforms. I guess you could have made the lower overhangs (except in a few places where you want the ladders to go up) one shorter (i.e. 1×5) and the upper ones one longer, and be based on top of the path. It wouldn't save much material (just for a few 1×1 platforms), but has less "wasted space". But maybe it's easier to just fill this space with some decorations, especially after the fact (I certainly don't recommend replacing them now).
    19:55 "I'm not sure if I'm going to leave these ladders here" - just move the ladders so they connect to the end of one of the 6×1 platforms (or make one of them a 5×1 to have the gap - or with the previous suggestion, even one shorter). 23:48 "Obviously the back side of this is fully closed off" - No, it is not - beavers can easily walk under overhangs, also between the places where they connect to the lower overhangs.
    21:45 "We're going to have to have a way to get a path across here." - Many episodes ago, I suggested to leave a few gaps between the wheels, so you could have like 5 bridges in total over, with just one wheel less in total. But ... 22:51 "Is it actually that important?" - By now, I don't think you really need to use the path on the back side there, except for helping to build these wheels and their power connections - your main path for access to the industry (including the food industry at the other side) will be on the front of the industry area. So just leave one wheel unbuilt for a while until you've finished the power shafts (which you then easily can build at the end from the other side), and then remove the bridge at the end. (And for "emergency repairs" you'll still have the connection at the end with the sluices.)
    31:00 Your dirt excavator is switched on, but the dirt storage is full and you are currently not placing dirt anywhere. Pausing it could give you back 4 beavers to do other things. (I'm not sure whether they can get injured while the building is blocked?)
    36:10 Instead of another layer of baracks, you could put just a few of the row houses as towers, maybe a normal one under each metal platform, plus a tall one where you now have the vertical power shafts, to get these wind channels even a bit higher, and get your population capacity over the 500 mark. Also, breaking out a bit from the monotony of just the full-layers. (Lore-wise, you can say that the most distinguished beavers and their families are allowed to live there.)

    Glad to see you implement the weekend! I’m glad to see you working out the mechanics of well being, it works pretty simple but it’s not just about the different tiers of bonuses. The primary point is so they can over-eat and over-drink, to avoid the debuffs of thirst and hunger while working on your projects. Sure, it’s only like 5-10% for a higher score, but being thirsty or hungry negates over 100% of their wellbeing by slowing them to a crawl or making them work so inefficiently they actually hold up progress on projects (taking the slot of a well-fed beaver to work faster).
    Ultimately I believe a 14-15 hour workday is perfect for your colony, you could easily add 40-50 more beavers and your food and water would barely take a hit. With the extra haulers and builders things would happen way faster, and jobs wouldn’t be empty or need to be paused. Might be time for advanced breeding pods too?

    @30:17 building up, its ok to make a support another 6 units away to widen the platform for a total of 12 units. Trying to cram all of your industry with 1 depth seems a bit of a constraint.

    17:00 That whole area looks great, IMO. My only criticism is that the water wheels should be turned the other way so they're not taking up real estate on the industrial platforms that you have to work around. Since you have power shafts running behind them along the edge off the map anyway, it makes sense to me to just make the water wheel nub part of that while line, then take the power off the other side. Remember, this one isn't Waterbeavers, so you don't have to worry so much about the power routing nonsense lol

    If you cover the waterwheel with overhang you from the inside and out, you will easy get the power around and connect and you can build more industry, on top of the wheels

    I think stepping the platforms down would be fine, also building them up to the same height would need ALOT more resources to put platforms and overhangs beneath the overhangs to make them all level.

    About bots: I would like to see how far you can go without bots here.
    → Without bots, I think the industry area you are planning here should be enough (if you grows slowly enough). The question is whether you can acquire enough food and water for 500 beavers without employing bots to help with this. (You might need to dedicate a part of your wood growing area to more food ... or build more of the hydroponic farms, but these need a regular supply of water, too.)
    → But if you start with bots, you immediately will have to have way more industry to get enough gears, planks, and metal for the production.

    I would build industry vertically since there are now vertical power shafts and you are using the ladders mod. you have 1.2 k mangrove fruit. You could change them to harvest the wood instead of fruit for a few growth cycles.

    For the plan with the exercise plazas, I like the general idea, but instead of the 3x1, how about you pick a longer overhang and not just put the plazas, but decorations. Not for the well being so much as just to make the exercise district above the industrial districts look nice.
    Fencing, benches, shrubs, lamps. Just go full decorator. You’ll have the space and nothing else to use it on, so why not? Also throw in medical beds there and call it the health district.

    The staggered approach on the side dropping by 1 each time doesn't seem like the best idea. it would lead to many awkward building spaces.
    Going down by 2 every 2nd step, or by 3 every 3rd step might be better, wasting less space required for ladders to move between the levels.
