I am a big fan of Jackie and I've been watching his films since I was a child. His best films are those from the 70/80/90s, especially those from the 80s. One of my all-time favorite film is Project A, but I also like Police Story, Wheels on Meals, Dragon Lord, Heart of Dragon, Armour of God, Dragons Forever and many more..
What I love about this fight is that it show Jackie Chan two greatest strength: 1. Use anything he can use to save the day, and 2. He ever give up no matter how hard he get hurts.
Supercop was the first jackie chan movie I've seen when I was a kid back in the 80s, been watching them since,he will always be one of my favorite actors to this day
Jackie did all of his major stunts on the Rush Hour & Shanghai movies...in fact David Dobkin said in a post that it was an incredible thing to watch him work. That ideas flow out of him in real time & they actually had to chase him around with a film crew to adapt to what he was doing. "On of the things that was really amazing was watching him use sleight of hand...he's a bit of a magician...as well as a stuntman."
05:01 That's a member of Jackie's stunt team. The white guy was having trouble with the choreography so a lot of scenes he's being body doubled. In the making of clips Jackie is getting frustrated because of his inability to get it right
There are so many fantastic Jackie Chan movies. There are only a few were he plays a darker, more violent character who kills. The two big ones that come to mind are The Foreigner and Crime Story.
The US version of Rumble in the Bronx is heavily edited...i have the hong kong disc and the whole film has more meaning when you see the what leads up to the scenes they kept in the movie...I HATE the American editing. There must be 15 or 20 minutes lost in the US version
Dragons forever Heart of the dragon Wheels on meals Crime story Police story 1-6 Project A and 2 Battle Creek brawl Miracles City hunter There my best Jackie films But love them all
Look at the tea room scene in Forbidden Kingdom...The director (who is a marshal artist) commentary in this scene remarked that he had trouble reconciling Jackie's power, speed, and fluidity of movement with his age & that theres a term in marshal arts for sudden explosive power (i cant remember it...starts with fen something) and Jackie has it.
Donnie Yen and Aidan Gillen were in Shanghai Knights and the final fight scene is the best depiction of a fight involving a sabreur that Hollywood has yet produced.
about that saber fight. Jackie Chan have mention in a interview. He said that the movie production team have hire a sword expert to help design the saber fight. However, after Jackie Chan and his team talk with that sword expert, they feel that if follow what that expert information to design the saber fight, it is not good. So they just design by thier own way. The result is pretty good.
BTS...Jackie trained Aidan for the closeup sword scenes. The wide angle sword fighting with Jackie was done with an expert swordsman. In one part of it you can actually see the guy's mustache if you freezeframe.
Yeah he's pretty good but the opening jumping kicks and spins were Brad Allen who IMO was better. Watch his fight with Jackie in Gorgeous if you haven't seen it yet. Also, Ken Lo in Drunken Master 2 went crazy with his kicks as well.
Jackie was STILL doing his own stunts in those movies...DVD BTS & Outtakes...& directory commentaries back that up 100%...the directory of Forbidden Kingdom ( also a marshal artist) stated during the teahouse scene that he had difficulty (in the commentary) trying to reconcile Jackie"s fluidity &
That's not true. The tall white guy is Ron Smoorenberg and absolutely not Jackie Chan's bodyguard. They had never worked together prior to shooting this. The other guy is Yung Kwan, who occasionally worked with (but wasn't a full member of) Jackie's stunt team. Jackie's real bodyguard for a long time was Ken Lo, who appears as the final villain at the end of Drunken Master 2. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.
He still does his own stuntwork...BTS for his newest movie, Ride On shows Jackie still performing his own work at age 68...though it is true he has mainly given up on the super crazy stuff as he should and they now insist on him using the safety equipment. He will be 69 when this film premieres. I think that's pretty damn impressive for someone who has pushed his body to the limit
Bruh The old guy in the black shirt needs to stop looking away and stfu during the epic scenes and let the other guy enjoy the fight without being constantly interrupted.
Unfortunately Jakcie is old. And his movies no so great. But! He's a legend and his movies of 80s and 90s is one of coolest films i saw. Sorry for my english) like from Ukraine;)
Jackie more logic and human he get hit that how u supposed to get when u fight thats normal. but what aint normal is u fight but never get hit atleast once? That is seems fake to me
This is jackie Chan's worst fight scenes too slow and staged.he used to fight more serious then shift to comedy fighting so boring I stopped watching .Donnie yen is way better

armour of god is one the one thats so poorly edited that you cant help but laugh
ME TOO
I started at Rumble On The Bronx when it came out, and went backwards through his films lol.

Drunken Master ones, Meals on Wheels, Police story, Armour of God... I'll sit here typing all day. lol.
Supercop was the first jackie chan movie I've seen when I was a kid back in the 80s, been watching them since,he will always be one of my favorite actors to this day
This film was my very first introduction to Jackie Chan. Been a fan ever since.
Jackie did all of his major stunts on the Rush Hour & Shanghai movies...in fact David Dobkin said in a post that it was an incredible thing to watch him work. Oh...David Dobkin was the director gor Shanghai Knights
"who am I" is my favorite Jackie movie
The second guy was a champion fighter, ala Bruce v. Chuck. Jackie got hit because the guy wasn't used to 'pulling punches'.
05:01 That's a member of Jackie's stunt team. The white guy was having trouble with the choreography so a lot of scenes he's being body doubled. In the making of clips Jackie is getting frustrated because of his inability to get it right

He kills people in the foreigner! That’s my favorite film!
Rumble was first hit in US, But First Strike was his first International movie, Star.
The US version of Rumble in the Bronx is heavily edited...i have the hong kong disc and the whole film has more meaning when you see the what leads up to the scenes they kept in the movie...I HATE the American editing. There must be 15 or 20 minutes lost in the US version
Cannonball Run the first one but he's not the MC though
Dragons forever
Heart of the dragon
Wheels on meals
Crime story
Police story 1-6
Project A and 2
Battle Creek brawl
Miracles
City hunter
There my best Jackie films
But love them all
This is my fav fight scene fr any movie!! 💪
4:30 always wanted to learn the feet techniques.
Mr. Nice Guy great.
Mr. Nice Guy is my favorite Jackie Chan movie
5:15 Scott Adkins , Michael J White and Jackie Chan and Van Dam are my favorites
mr nice guy
My first ever Jackie Chan film is Druken Master (since my childhood) is the start of my love towards him blooming ^^
Donnie Yen and Aidan Gillen were in Shanghai Knights and the final fight scene is the best depiction of a fight involving a sabreur that Hollywood has yet produced.

Snake Eagle Shadow is proper old school
Ron Smoorenburg is the best kicker ever appeared on camera! He made this fight scene iconic! Check his channel out, he's an awesome dude.
Yeah he's pretty good but the opening jumping kicks and spins were Brad Allen who IMO was better. Watch his fight with Jackie in Gorgeous if you haven't seen it yet. Also, Ken Lo in Drunken Master 2 went crazy with his kicks as well.

Explosive power that he had with his age.
In fact, to underscore this man's stamina & determination to get the choreography
Perfect, when woo ping told him 5 takes was enough, Jackie ended up doing 150 until it was as perfect as humanly possible.
People always point to the Jet/Jackie fight from this movie...but the teahouse fight is a work of art.
Little known movie where Jackie was a serious bad guy....killer meteors.
He's not called drunken master, movie is, he's wong fei hung, Master in true times, look up.
You know what is funny, both are Jackie's bodyguards.
That's not true. The tall white guy is Ron Smoorenberg and absolutely not Jackie Chan's bodyguard. They had never worked together prior to shooting this. The other guy is Yung Kwan, who occasionally worked with (but wasn't a full member of) Jackie's stunt team.

Rumble in the Bronx First Strike police story 1 2 & 3
I love all the police story, but The new police story, part 4..I think is underrated..and it's actually very good movie..you need to see it.
Either drunken master or armor of gold
Even in soccer shin protected to shin, F kills.
twin dragon and drunken Master two
supercop is the best one
Police Story I and Project A are my favorite Jackie Chan movie
He still does his own stuntwork...BTS for his newest movie, Ride On shows Jackie still performing his own work at age 68...though it is true he has mainly given up on the super crazy stuff as he should and they now insist on him using the safety equipment. React to D+ by franco and pivotblimp plz
Bruh
The old guy in the black shirt needs to stop looking away and stfu during the epic scenes and let the other guy enjoy the fight without being constantly interrupted.
Fun fact - They had to get stunt doubles for both the fighters to throw punches and kicks quicker cause Jackie said it wasn't fast enough.
The second guy Jackie fought is Ron Smorneberg he has record for the highest kick
Operation Condor And Shanghai Knight is the one with Donnie Yen and the Boat scene
Police Story 3: SuperCop with Michelle Yeoh. Next are Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights, yet all Jackie Chans movies are totally favs.😁👍🏿
Fearless Hyena is imho his best film for kungfu, but in terms of stunts, Rumble in the Bronx all day.
Unfortunately Jakcie is old. And his movies no so great. But! He's a legend and his movies of 80s and 90s is one of coolest films i saw. Sorry for my english) like from Ukraine;)
React to that please?!
