+1 for The Beginners Guide. It's not as complex but it has great game design meta narrative commentary as well. Second game from that department I'd recommend is The Magic Circle. That one has an actual gameplay and should be about 3-4 hours.
After going to the epilogue, if you go back to the area with the bucket and the jump circle and infinite hole, you pretty much get to hear the narrator have a panic attack like “ hm why does the achievement machine work that’s not supposed to happen” “ wait, how did you get so many stanly figs?” “WHY DONYOU HAVE 2 BUCKETS YOU CANT HAVE 2!!!”
there's a compilation about 4 and a half hours long with just Narrator lines, used and unused, some of them are distorted and there's a major gap in the video where there's no sound, so i can assume that total amount is about 4 hours flat
crazy thing, Davie (game writer) said that when he sent him the original script, he did it in ONE take, just one singular WAV file. Edit: He said it in his (supposed) brother DougDoug’s steam of him playing it.
Since tacos are just edible buckets of tasty, tasty nutrition, and bells are just inverted buckets with a hanging dongle bit, is Taco Bell equivalent to "bucket bucket"?
The bucket really does make a big difference. Especially when you try to turn the mind control facility on. Being contrasted between the most wholesome ending and the least… silly birds…🥰
you were totally onto something with the whole comment about the player being stanley, pressing buttons just as stanley does and all that. It's one of the reasons the 'freedom' ending is actually one of my favourites - in it you escape an evil organisation's clutches by disabling the mind control they have on you, but you only do that by obeying each and every thing the narrator tells you to do, essentially just pressing the buttons you're told to just like stanley does. The fact that the moment you're free and escape the building, all control over your character is taken away from you only further shows that it's not freedom at all.
Yes, but it's also commentary on the nature of video games themselves: to progress the story and find the ending, one must follow the directions of the game (even with a game like the Stanley Parable, one can only perform actions that have been planned out by the game creators, which implies that players were always meant to perform those actions to advance the story and find different endings). The only ways to escape the game are for the player to purposefully decide to exit the game (as instructed in the escape endings) or for the player to follow the path(s) set before them and complete the actions programmed into the game in order to reach the predetermined endings.
@@sunnflowerfairy Well, the escape pod ending kind of implies that its an experiment run on stanley with multiple copies running since there are multiple floors and through each floor you can see the same office and the stairwell connecting them. So, I think it might be seeing another test subject, maybe outright clone that either somehow ended up on the wrong floor or is himself on the way to the escape pod. Of course, you should not think too hard about it as each ending is its own self-contained story. Some of them may tie together, others outright contradict each other (like for instance that the narrator is in several endings aware of the fact that its just a computer game and you are a real person playing it, but in the choice ending the narrator was working on the assumption that you are Stanley, a fictional character that has to behave as the narrator says and then finds out that you are indeed a real person, in other endings thats not mentioned at all and the narrator just talks to Stanley, not to the player).
The "Eight!" button on the boss's keypad is a reference to "The Stanley Parable Demonstration" - the "demo" for The Stanley Parable which ironically contains _almost none_ of the content from The Stanley Parable itself. The "Demonstration" has the same narrator and style of meta-humor, but is otherwise a _completely_ different game.
Fun fact: you get a slightly different video for your fifth Stanlurine for each of the six locations you can find them. (Same basic idea, but different details.)

@Eva and Katelyn Gaming Uncut: please read both previous comment before this one. Remember when you revisited the figuerine in the memory zone, the pink room is a reference to Superliminal, also when you accidently broke it and got stuck, you got an extra figuerin that you did not suppose to have, so at the end of the epilogue after you collect all of them it should show 26/6, not 27/6, so the idea you get the answer correctly so he put the 4th figurine in the pink room, but you answer it wrong then he put the third figurine in the pink room instead.
Hi guy, came to enjoying these two streamings (TSP and TSP2). And you know that there's more in TSP2 (or better now TSP3). Can't wait for your stream XD
@Eva and Katelyn Gaming Uncut: Read my previous comment first: After the epilogue more ending unlock, so begin the game again, and pick-up the bucket, the new content door is open, but you will have the introduction to the jump circle ending with the bucket, then you can bring the bucket to the stanley parable 2 exibit, and if you go in the reasuurance bucket with the bucket in advance they will be a new ending, remember at the end of the epiolgue the guy said he fix the achivement machine, you still have to go their and activate that machine, and it will completly freek out the narrator, and it will be the same with or without the bucket, and this point do not exit normally do not used the exit stairs because if you do the title will return to 2 and you do not want that, because then you will miss a new title screen and a new ending, to fix it just go throught the epilogue again but you will miss a new title screen and you will miss an ending if it cost you to miss title 8, begin the game again when the title says 8, and this only works if you got the 8 achivement, instead of the normal stanley game it is just a button that says 8. Since I have not reach to this point yet, so I do not know if it is truth or not remember the 200 number that the screen was glitchy I do not remember which one was it, maybe if the title match the number of the glitchy screen and you start the game, it might start all glitchy and the narrator might comment on the glitchiness, I do not know if this happen since I have not reach all the way their yet, other thing that could happen when you reach title 427 the stanley office number when you begin the game again, stepping out of the office would just lead back to stanley office, and the narrator gets confused, then if it is title 428 the door to 428 might open right away while you still have the narrator and you can escape pod with the narrator since you need the narrator for stanley to escape into the escape pod, if does thing does not do an ending, title 999 have to do an ending since it is reference in the stanley parable 2 exibit. Also if you wondering about the other guy walking down the hallway, that is just a random thing that happen to creep people out even more and in the original version he is going the other direction so you can't see his face. This go base on the theory that several people are takeing the same test, and in just one instance you just started the test to early and the other was not done yet, and that make sense since the confusion ending is a long ending, they are other theory, the cloneing theory, or it is just your pass, or your future, or just an alternate reallity of stanley, and some would say that is the narrator passing by as a theory. The other theory is the Narrator is actually Stanley work boss. Only the Boss would know the password code to the mind control fesility, and the narrator knows the code. and that theory is even proven more truth with the bucket having the boss DNA when you turn the machine on, who give you the bucket, the narrator gives you the bucket.
Clicking one of the doors outside of Stanley's office 5 times gets you an achievement. Also, if you scan the QR code at the merch stand in the Stanley Parable 2 showroom, there's a funny video. Also also you missed the button that says "Stanley" instead of Jim Also also also, I've seen someone get to the bottom of the cargo room. By going through a gap in the railing right before the cargo lift. There's nothing down there but music though.
Kinda bummer they didn't do my favorite ending, the one going up and down the elevator. Instead they did it with the bucket, which is not as good in my opinion. :') But I've never seen other person walking through the office, that would've spook the hell out of me if I was playing!
2:16:07 The jab of emotional turmoil I feel when I watch a Let’s Player enter this room LMAO The Zending was one of the few endings I got back when I played the original… ngl I’m still in shambles about it, it’s so so sad One of my faves fr
@Evan and Katelyn Gaming Uncut: Ending you miss, Confress room without the bucket, behind the fire place the first time you go down that elevator, you have to go back-up the elevator 3 time, but you bail out after the 2nd time because they was no narration indicating that their was something more but their was something more, in the cargo lift you miss the coward ending, with the bucket and without the bucket, with out the bucket is the old version, to do it when you step on the cargo lift when it start to move step out of it, and the narrator will convince you to jump off since the lift will not return. When they say answer the phone with the bucket but you already did that, you where going for the wrong phone, it is the phone on employee 434 desk that will sometime randomly ring, they are 3 diffrent message when you answer that phone without the bucket and only one gives you the box ending, and the box ending even if you agree with the shippment if it does not randomly put a one of the normal office when you begin the game the box ending with not happen, so you will have to be lucky twice, and that is part of the old version, the only one new if you answer the 434 phone with the bucket, and it is just one message, click a door 430 5 time that is part of the old version but if you do it with the bucket he will say bucket with the narration if you have the achivement already they are no extra achivement for doing this with the bucket. look at room 417 ending no bucket part of the old version close both allways door when you see room 417, when he is done with the narration you can open the door, and if you do with with the bucket it will just add bucket to the narration.
I feel like standing still until he gets mad at you in every room is the first option I would explore that might be chronically overlooked. How long is it between the twitch stream and it being released on the uncut? I don't watch much on twitch but I keep getting serious deja vu on youtube at about a 6 month interval where I could quote what everyone is about to say next. It's not just this channel, and the video is always freshly posted when I check, but I figured since this was recorded a while ago that I'd ask.
@@karmajazzhands9244 Not if it's something I remember from 3-6 months ago, and I only watch the uncut, and it doesn't explain the other channels. I was thinking it might be a glitch with youtube and scheduling content for release, and seeing some people's schedules early, but if they only recently streamed it on twitch, that doesn't add up. It's just been driving me nuts for about the past year or so... but thank you for trying to help me out.
Getting stuck in the dark transition wasn't "intended" per se, but as shown by the sign it was a known issue and they decided it was more on-brand to add the sign than to fix it.
The reason why you couldn't destroy the bucket it's cuz Stanley himself was preventing you he wouldn't let you toss it in the bucket Destroyer and I understand the bucket is awesome😅
In the epilogue right at the start before you enter the memory house you were suppose to turn around and in a red time capsule behind you was your bucket from the escape ending. You could have picked it up from the capsule
A bucket is a hard sided open container you can put things through the top which can be carried by a handle. A soft sided bucket is a bag. A bucket with a cover is a basket. A bucket not carried by a handle is a pot. A bucket on wheels is a cart.
next time, take the bucket to the room where you found the phone and unplug the phone from the wall, you get a whole thing about the narrator trying to make himself funnier
While I love what you have seen and found so far... you haven't even begun to delve into how much content there really is. It is much, much deeper than you can possibly understand. Should I give you a hint? Oh, no Stanley, no. Let them figure it out for themselves.
Great gameplay, I think you would like the game "Antichamber" (on steam) is a mind-bending psychological exploration game where nothing can be taken for granted. Discover an Escher-like world where hallways wrap around upon each other, spaces reconfigure themselves, and accomplishing the impossible may just be the only way forward. There are a lot of hidden paths to take and sometimes the way forward is backwards.
Everything before the "new content" door was the original Stanley Parable, it's kind of in the name. Except for the "bottom of the mind control facility" ending, but that was clearly indicated to be new content too.
Evan, Katelyn, humans are not bags, we are tubes!!! All the bags have two openings at least, technically. That makes us tube beings! Many tubes are bent back on themselves and group both ends together, like gall bladders. But still got entrance and exit. Toooooobs!
From about 2:20 onward, you trying to think of things that you had so far *missed* doing: A lot of the endings can only be accessed *before* you first see the "New Content" area. That means you should ignore the New Content Door until *after* you've tried everything. It's really the only way to play the original version of the game before you trigger the "Ultra Deluxe" content. You can reset the game back to its original form by uninstalling it from your Steam Library page, then reinstall it from scratch. No, you won't have to pay for it again...Once a game is paid for, you can reinstall it to the same PC as many times as you like. In the office area (at the start), try to open the door to room 430 at least 5 times. As already mentioned below, get back to the "Stanley Parable2 Presentation" area & visit exhibits that are still open. During your play of the Epilogue & you're in the desert while approaching the ruined Memory Zone, look around the outside of the ruins before you go inside. After you've played through the Epilogue once (starting The Stanley Parable 3 title screen or more), start the game again & head for the New Content Door...Yes, it returns with some changes to the Narrator's "Stanley Parable 2 Presentation" area; bring the bucket with you. You can also open the door to the Settings Champion Achievement (in that same area) if you first go to your Settings menu & adjust everything all the way to the extreme ends of the sliders (you can put them back to your preferred settings afterward, just pushing them to the extreme ends is what the game detects); Set & keep Bumpscosity set to 1000 though.
If you do another stream on this. The desk you climbed on next to the windows outside, climb on that desk again and see if you can jump out of the window

Anyone come here after the Beginner's Guide??❤❤
I love that there's 4 more hours!
3 hrs and 57 mins
Clicking one of the doors outside of Stanley's office 5 times gets you an achievement.
Also, if you scan the QR code at the merch stand in the Stanley Parable 2 showroom, there's a funny video.
Also also you missed the button that says "Stanley" instead of Jim
Also also also, I've seen someone get to the bottom of the cargo room. By going through a gap in the railing right before the cargo lift. There's nothing down there but music though.
Kinda bummer they didn't do my favorite ending, the one going up and down the elevator. Instead they did it with the bucket, which is not as good in my opinion. :')
But I've never seen other person walking through the office, that would've spook the hell out of me if I was playing!
2:16:07 The jab of emotional turmoil I feel when I watch a Let’s Player enter this room LMAO
The Zending was one of the few endings I got back when I played the original… ngl I’m still in shambles about it, it’s so so sad
One of my faves fr
I think they post in about 24hrs after stream
@@booked_by_books Concerning, but thank you
Is It possible you are seeing the edited repost on the gaming channel? I know thats happened to me a few times
I just realized evan has the exact same voice as the lawyer from idiocracy
Evan’s mind broke when the world broke XD
Ah you finally jumped out of the window!!! I've been waiting for it for so long, lol
It's hilarious to watch things happening in the memory zone right now because I'm studying for a psychology exam that covers memory!
"humans are collections of bags."
Yes. Yes we are. We are "meat bags."
"Are we the bucket? is narrator a bucket" me: how did you knew?
Not gonna lie... i think the original games in which the narrator transport Stanley to (Minecraft and Portal) where much better.
Getting stuck in the dark transition wasn't "intended" per se, but as shown by the sign it was a known issue and they decided it was more on-brand to add the sign than to fix it.
I gotta say, the bucket collecting bits was really impressive!
you can drop down to the warehouse floor after unplugging the phone by crouching under the sign. At lest that’s what I was told.
You guys should play Outer Wilds
The reason why you couldn't destroy the bucket it's cuz Stanley himself was preventing you he wouldn't let you toss it in the bucket Destroyer and I understand the bucket is awesome😅
i have never been so happy to fall asleep to your videos and then wake up to another one of your videos
I'm not a big gamer - well Myst (and sequels), Lemmings, Obduction, but this looks like something I would enjoy!
Anyone know who the narrator is?
The game's credits can be found within one of the many endings (because of course); his name is Kevan Brighting.
Finland has great connection to buckets 🇫🇮 If you know, you know.
In the epilogue right at the start before you enter the memory house you were suppose to turn around and in a red time capsule behind you was your bucket from the escape ending. You could have picked it up from the capsule
The ending was a lot better hearing those two sing. You two have a new sub~
A bucket is a hard sided open container you can put things through the top which can be carried by a handle.
A soft sided bucket is a bag. A bucket with a cover is a basket. A bucket not carried by a handle is a pot. A bucket on wheels is a cart.
You never just shut the door while in your office.
@1:35:40'ish You are the guy you saw walking by office number 425
When they were in heaven, I heard the droning voice repeating, "What's the point" 😂😂😂
next time, take the bucket to the room where you found the phone and unplug the phone from the wall, you get a whole thing about the narrator trying to make himself funnier
You need to do the ending where you play the baby game for 4 hours
While I love what you have seen and found so far... you haven't even begun to delve into how much content there really is.
It is much, much deeper than you can possibly understand.
Should I give you a hint? Oh, no Stanley, no. Let them figure it out for themselves.
Hint: Try doing everything at least three times.
Second hint: You should have gotten this already. Door 430 needs your attention.
After that, let's start to talk about the files saved to your disk. Did you even look at them; of course you didn't.
A whole new level.
Carry on... do you see, you've just started.
Toooooobs!
From about 2:20 onward, you trying to think of things that you had so far *missed* doing:
A lot of the endings can only be accessed *before* you first see the "New Content" area.
I'v got my bucket! (it is a mug but close enough)
I am mildly sad they entered the second-part endings before finding the baby one... That was my favorite ending of the first game by far :')
Here’s a theory; the Narrator is a Q from Star Trek just messing with people in a holodeck somewhere
buckets...have...blood *taking notes 3 hours in*
1:09:32 Amazingly, having not played the original game, you nailed it. This section started with Minecraft in the original game.
Once you break the narrator about what is a bucket you can in fact bring the bucket past the no bucket sign. I'm like 90% certain.
Have you guys played Cult of The Lamb? I think you’d love the mixture of cute animals and satanic cult rogue like gameplay
I love the beautiful harmony at the end 😂
life is just a series of buckets
Yall should try sea of thieves, it's a pirate game XD
Don't blame the bucket it's not the buckets fault the narrator is the one being like that how soon you turned on the poor bucket lol😂😂
You did not do the elevator up-down 3 times without the bucket
Watching this game late at night, went to get a drink. Checked the time:
*4:27*
Officially creeped out.
I can’t wait to watch this!
Such a shame he just ignored the jim button sequence. It has a really neat tie-in in the epilogue if you find the right button…
Evan has an Unas Annus shirt c:
Your amazing guys!
I love this game I love the people playing the game it's the perfect combo
The real buckets were the buckets we met along the way.
