It’s not a fast stitch but it’s a easy stitch that you don’t have to do a lot of focus on just watch a movie and go to town on it and be finished in no time 💜

    I've discovered an added bonus to this clever stitch. It's perfect for gloves and pieces that need to fit snugly but give in all directions. There is no direction that has no give at all like so many crochet stitches. Just beautiful in any size yarn too-- size 4 / E with Knit Picks "Chroma' fingering is lacy, supple and still dense enough for dainty Victorian gloves and earwarming headband. Highly recommend this versatile stitch.

      Thank you for this info, I am looking for a stitch to make some arm warmers for the office, I have trouble with my hands getting cold and since I type all days this makes it really hard to work! Arm warmers that I can make come up onto the back of my hand, but just make a single chain that goes between my thumb and palm makes it easier to type, so I am picky about my hand warmers. Sufficient stretch in the finished product is hugely required, so the stitch must have four way stretch! Thank you for the info!

    This is a simple and beautiful pattern. I don't like the uneven side edges so would need to add a border. I would make a blanket using this pattern. Since it is only a one row repeat, it would be perfect to work on while watching TV. Thanks for all your great tutorials.

    hello, just wanted to say, that you made a great tutorial. Your voice is clear and easy to understand and the visuals are good, too. You might just want to turn down the volume of the in- and outtro jingle a bit. I turned the volume down and then up again to understand you and then down again, when the outtro started to play.

    Your stitches areBEAUTIFUL, but I believe the "thumbs down" is coming from the stitch count. I've tried your instructions to the "T", and have to unravel and keep trying. It's not adding up, but I will continue to try, because it's worth it. Can you please review the stitch count in your videos, and make sure the issue is with your audience, and not some oversight on your part? I really want to crochet this stitch. Thank you so much!

    • @elisabethryder4719
      @elisabethryder4719 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The easiest method I've found to ensure I follow the pattern mostly correctly is to count the stitches whenever I feel uncertain as to how many more sc dc or just sc stitches the piece needs to match the starting chain count. Then I'm at least not accidentally adding or subtracting any stitches for the project. It is a very pretty pattern and so easy to repeat... with the exception of the stitch count. 😅🙂

    I did not finish my initial note. I will continue.... skipping the 1st ch gives you 20 sts to work. I understand sc dc every other st. However at the end of the row, you won’t have a ch to sk before making sc in last st. After last sc dc next st is sc at end of row. Okay that’s good. Now 2nd row.... sc dc in 1st st, sk next st then sc dc in next st. You repeat this until end of row but after last sc dc on row 2 there are two sts left so, do you sk one st then in the last st put sc? Please clarify. I have rewatched your video here and you don’t complete row 2 to see how you end the row. I have also read your written pattern and it’s unclear to me the ending of row 2. So am I understanding this correctly, at the end of row 1, a sc is put in last st but there is no skipped st between it and the last sc dc combination then row 2 at the end of the row there are two stitches left so you sk 1 then put sc dc in last st?
    Please help me here.
    Thank you in advance for your help.

      It confused me too. I have seen other video where and even number of stitches were used to start, then sc/dc at each end, always into the second stitch. This video gave me ends that are not quite straight, and more scalloped.
