DOPE I love the drums, a lot. Please consider showing us the layering in some of your next videos. I know you've probably done that, but I haven't still watched that video. :)
@@dubsbangermusic im not sure its you , i dont think so , i see a collage painting of a black guy and first song is called " let the bass run " , is that correct ?
Man you’ve been killin it a long time!! I need one of you beats to rap on.. you choose!! I make beats too but, I have always wanted to rap on your tracks!! You’re the goat 🐐
damnnnnn you know about my sl1200, were going back to 09... the real ones know... thank you homie... finally took it our of storage and had it refurbished with new power corn, rca cables, and grounding... zero feedback now so clean...
It ain’t the same without the layer of dust on it. I remember Dubs back in the Acura days when he had no tats and long hair. Homie had a lot of gear back than. If only Drake found him first instead of 40.
You kidding ? I was listening today to vibin channel , 1 hr jazzy boom bap , and i was hoping you would make a video ( or i would check in ur backlog ) of boom bap with a horn . And 🔥 it is. That kick n snare are hard AF
stems are dope af, it gives you more resources to sample. at the end of the day i dont really use them too much cu i just stick to what im use to and stay in my lane... at the end of the day the creativity comes from within you...
this is my turntable i got back in 2009. it started giving me feedback problems in 2014 so i bought the stanton st150. now the stanton ive been noticing some feedback when it gets close to other wire and my monitors and just an overall hum interference noise. ive alwyas anted to get my technics sl1200 restored and finally took it out of storage and got a new ground with it, power cable, and rca cables. now there is absolutely zero feedback. come to find out that anything that is self grounding will give you feedback... nothing beats a grounding wire to the mixer and not groudned to itself...
@@dubsbangermusic Nice to hear that. One question, do you prefer sl1200 or st150? Which sounds better through headphones? I’d like to buy a turntable for home listening and sampling as well.
the sl1200 sounds better because its grounded to the mixer where as the stanton is self grounded so itll always be affected by humming and other frequencies around like wires and speakers... if you want to listen for just pleasure you can get the audio technica for like 150 from amazon with an audio technica needle at lp60xbt it does the trick you ll be able to spin the record backwards... the stanton and the sl will run you 1000 or 600 plus used... this is a tricky question as well because the sound comes from the needle cartridge... the record player is just the frequency translator... i would still say best sound for sampling is sl1200 you can do newer models just nothing self grounded and an ortofon needle which will run you 500 plus whats your budget?@@WorldReggae24
@@dubsbangermusic Thank you again for your feedback, Dubs. My budget is around 1000-1500 bucks so the price doesn’t bother me much. Though I’m considering Technics turntable because it’s the best in the industry. Also, can you recommend me a good needle for the turntable that I can spin records backwards without worrying damage them.
any ortofon needle will do you good, im hearing the concorde mk2 club is really good (i would probably buy this one myself if i were to purchase a new needle) and the concorde mk11 elite is expensive... for new turntables make sure its heavy duty and not plastic and hollow cuz youll get sound feedback, this is the reason i started sampling with headphones on... keep in mind if you want usb connectivity as well@@WorldReggae24
I want to share something with you 2 things from my country wich i think you would like to use for sampling one day. Pete philly and perquisite ( gratefull ) . And the other is Kytemans hip hop orkest ( sorry ) , especialy the last on, its on trompet. Gonna share it with marlow aseell , might like it too.
im not too sure about the keys when samplong, the x shows you the key in the program, and theres an app where is listens to the song bass notes etc and tells you the key... i just go by ear.... what are you trying to find the bpm for like s ample or just in general when trying to find a bpm to work with?
@@dubsbangermusic I guess finding a bpm to work with. Cause I notice with you you do yours in double time. But how do you find that if your sample is slow or fast? I don’t know if that makes sense or not 😂
it does make sense its just hard for me to explain... most of my chops dont have loops to them, i just sample random parts and instruments... so i like my bpms between 176-184 88-92 normal bpms... theres a trick to it when using a fast bpm you slow down the sample... the sample i use depicts the tempo i use... if im chopping somehtng with kicks snares and hi hats in it then i have to tune it up or down and use the tempo the songs at... so at that point toget to the bpms i want ill pitvh it until i get there ... if you want you can show me what youre sampling or whatevr and ill give you my advice... add me on ig dubsbanger@@Brooklynsagemusic
I have a concern, how do you manage the sound? I mean: turntable to mixer and mixer to what? What interface do you use? Once you have your sample processed by the mixer and put into the MPC, where does the sound go?
my turntable goes into my mixer, my mixer goes into my mpc, my mpc goes into my audio interface, my audio interface goes into my computer. monitors are connected to the audio interface, which plays sounds form your analog gear and also your computer. The audio interface that i have is a presonus rack mount under my mpc. what do you have and what are you trying to set up?
@@dubsbangermusic Im trying to setup everything ok and have nice sound . I lastly changed everything and I want to have a real thik and fat sound. I have an old pioneer djm 600 that i am not using ( using a Behringer shit to got more channels using other synths at same time ) but I am not using any audio interface now and I believe is the problem . Now i have routed the turntable to a old tascam m216 mixer ( I like his sound in terms of eq ) and from his master outs to a Behringer stereo channel. The Mpc out to the Behringer ( don’t like the sound at the end ) Im not using computer, just Mpc’s, synths and pedals. I have a sequencer apart aswel just for the synths. SO….. whats the behringer stereo channel? you should be using the dj mixer for your turntable -> into the mpc and then the mpc 8 outs to that mixer where you have comntolr over the high mid and low frequencies... by having the sample into the mixer you can further manipulate it... i am using the computer only to record everything as a whole beat, but i also use a mixer with 8 outs on my mpc and record to cassette tape... it all depends on what you want to do... the whole point of an audio interface is for you to record on the computer... if youre not going to record on the computer you dont always need the interface you just need the mixer... but the audio interface is what you listen to all of your outputs on with mpnitors and headphones lots of research can be done for you to learn all of this i think i have an old presonus studio 18 @@VANVASSS
