As someone who's been watching you since I was a kid, and am now a sophomore in college, it's insanely amazing to be able to watch you raise Leo and think about how long ago this whole journey started!! Good job!!
My cousin also realized a cake would be a waste for a 1yo so she just made a stack of banana pancakes with strawberries between the layers, covered in a maple pb frosting.

A little tip for next time: rather than placing the tiny cake pans on the rack and grabbing and removing them one by one, you can put the little pans on a sheet pan/cookie sheet and use that to remove them at the same time, and you’ll have more to grab onto with the big oven mitts :) ❤

Food dyes aren't harmful but I bet plant-made food dyes taste better. I'm gonna try them!
Red 40 is actually harmful. Red dye 40 contains benzene, a known cancer-causing substance.

What if you make the smiley faces beforehand, freeze them, then put them on the cake when you’re ready
