I just have a feeling he will have a down year. My guys I am most excited to see. 1. Omarion Hampton North Carolina (21yo) Running behind one of the worst power 5 offensive lines he was able to post 1540yds on about 250 carries. Plus brought in 29rec for over 222yds. He has terrific size at 6’ 220lbs. This year could catapult him into a first round discussion if he is able to build off his 2023 season minus QB Drake Maye and WR Tez Walker. 2. Ashton Jeanty Boise State (20yo) A true dual threat RB that can get you in the ground game and also cause damage in the receiving game. He has a decent build at 5’9” 210lbs. He racked up 1,347 yds on 220 rushing attempts and caught 43 balls for 569yds. He also had 19 total TDs to go along with his 1900+ all purpose yards in 2023. With a monster year in 24 he may be knocking on 1st rounds door. 3. Donovan Edwards Michigan (21yo) I also wanted to highlight a guy that had a better 22 season than a 23 season but I will be watching to see what he can do in 24. So I chose Donovan Edwards. Big play Don had a down 23 season compared to his 22 season but part of that is due to the fact fellow teammate Blake Corum was healthy in 23. This year with no Corum, no JJ, no Roman Wilson, no Harbaugh and minus a few O-lineman, Edwards will have a golden opportunity to put the team on his back and prove he is worthy of being a top drafted RB. He stands at 6’1” 210lbs. In 22 when he was relied upon more due to Corum injury he rushed for 991yds posting an outstanding7.1ypc to go along with 18rec for over 200yds. Last year his rushing yards and ypc took a dip down to a modest 4.2 but did chip in with 30 receptions for about 250yds. If he can climb the mountain and stake his flag as the engine for the Wolverines offense Edwards has a chance to be a name we hear in the first couple of rounds.
