Great video, best video i've seen explaining how the 440 convertible is like to drive. I'm looking at a 440i or an Audi S5, but after your video i'm leaning towards the 440 convertible. Your video showcases how the BMW is much more engaging to drive and gives that bit of fun. Like you say its heavier and not quite as sharp to drive as the coupe, but the sound and on the rare occasion that the sun shines in the UK and you find yourself on a good B road, what could be better :)

Always baffled me why BMW put a more tuned version of the B58 in the M240i. You'd think they would put it in this...
currently looking at exactly one of these as my next car in the next 12 months, you have sold me on either the convertible or couple, i currently have a e92 coupe and i love it but its time to update to something a little nicer
440i coupe is the one i'd go for.

depends where you live but for england rear wheel drive is much better

Is there much squeaking from the roof?
These cars do suffer from a squeaky roof. You can easily fix it with gummi pflege though, that stuff works wonders.

@@meti9230 they can squeak when closed but if you apply grease to the rubber it stops it.

@@mat.9862 No, it doesn't 😂 Have you even been in a droptop? It's a car, not a rocket ship. And even if it does get so noisy for some reason that you can't do what hundreds of vids on TH-cam do, i.e. review the car with the top down, then take some footage with the top down without talking, a few shots here and there. Your review is supposedly about a convertible; get some footage with the top down ffs. It's not that hard to understand.
Hell's teeth! That head-cam. I was spewing up after 5 minutes. In the end I scrolled down and just listened to the review. The Camera work was just horrible. Great reviewer though. If this is a 'prestige' company, they just need to spend a little bit of money and get a bit of 'prestige' camera equipment like the other TH-cam vehicle reviewers. If this is a tin-pot company, well, just stick with the head-cam.
I don’t like how they didn’t update the dash or tac until 2020. A little ambient like would go a long way

The headrests are fixed in these
You can adjust the headrest pull them up manually, or put your finger in between the vent and slightly lift it.
There actually IS an armrest in the back! You can pull it down from the center part.
Mate which one is good for b roads M4 convertible or 440i convertible apparently they both are pretty similarly priced. B58 (440i) is loved by bmw enthusiasts over n54 (m4) Is x drive more useful in uk roads and also which one is better car for daily commute . Thank you
440i is better for the daily commute but the M4 is definitely a lot sharper on a b-road. I’d still pick the 440i as it’s still fun and actually quite a bit better on fuel.

Absolutely, The B58 engine in the 440i is a masterpiece.
