- Here is our snowy ascent and 2 night camp on Black Butte from a few years ago: • Backpacking Idaho's Go...
Late March / Early April
This was an attempt to go past the Black Butte Junction to Sheep Creek but I forgot to pack gaiters and the snow got deep and our feet started to freeze in the poor weather so we back tracked and camped at Chittam Creek and awakened to fresh snow.
Despite the snow I should note that this is a very low snow year.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Good one! nice owl
Enjoyed it......I think I mentioned this a while back but I really love the Gospel~Hump Wilderness. Rugged, not always user friendly, but what a great area to explore. Both times I was there I went in south of Elk City around Oregrande. Not easy to get to but I hardly saw a soul once I crossed into the wilderness area itself. Despite everything, you took some great scenery shots and you had a real nice campsite!

The owl ❤! I love seeing all the creatures!
Thank you Andrew! I never post but wanted to let you know I always watch yours and Lacey’s trips and enjoy them thoroughly. Love the shots and editing that goes into these. Keep on getting out there and be careful 🙏 Oh! Love the owl and the flock of birds! Those were amazing shots❤
Beautiful video! We always wanted to go to the Gospel Hump, thank you for sharing!
We'd love to go here! Beautiful place. Love the name Gospel-Hump. Thanks for sharing! ❤
Beautiful views. Still a little bit of snow up there. Gotta have that plan B and sometimes C and D. Thanks for sharing.
always look forward to your videos. your theme is typically remote, lesser known with few humans which i also look for on my backpack trips. you mentioned your resolve to probably never go to the enchantments. there are routes that can get you into that area (if not the core) which are seldom traveled, although can be difficult (non-technical) on limited time. i'll look for you on the trail and we can compare notes.
Beautiful area, majestic snowy mountains!! Thanks for sharing, took note for a future hike.
Haven't seen anything new posted for a couple of weeks. Are you guys okay?
@@davidb1931 it takes longer to edit bigger backpacking trips and we are hanging with good friends who are moving away from montana to california. just finished a solo trip in the wind river
