They have been trying for a long time to secularize the public and make them less religious. I am an 83 year old, American woman who very recently reverted to Islam, and for many of the same reasons Sheika Burkatulla mentioned here. Although I am happy to cover my head, I can't imagine wearing a full hijab, as I find it oppressive. As a human being, I believe it is necessary and desirable to connect with others and we do that through facial expressions as well as with our speech. Further, as a licensed psychotherapist in my professional life, now retired, the hijab would been impediment to meaningful connection with my patients. Still, I'm very new and have much to learn and appreciate the viewpoints presented here.
Just for clarification sister, wearing the hijab doesn't entail covering your face. The basic hijab only covers the hair and the chest. What shaikha Fatima is weraing is a "niqab" which is a level above hijab but isn't mandatory. You can still see a woman's face with her hijab.

This Muslima is absolutely correct! I know I don’t look Muslim, but I am and I was fortunate enough to have been born into Islam. We all go through our ups and downs in our religion. But I can never follow any other religion and say there is any other God than Allah. People try to pervert Islam, but they cannot. Everything about Islam will always point back to truth. I was hanging by My hands, leaning on My feet, and the pain of the nails piercing My nerves was intolerable. Although I could have got rid of it, being the Almighty, I wanted more than anything to save My brothers and creatures on earth. I had decided, as God, to give Myself totally, to annihilate Myself so as to hold nothing back, so that all, even the most wicked, could have recourse to My Sacrifice and be converted. This conversion of all the souls enslaved by Satan was My dearest desire, My assumed and agreed objective. If I could have given Myself even more, I would have done so.
I suffered, yes, immeasurably, I conserved all My energy as the pain devoured Me, but I did not falter; *I gave Myself to My Father at every moment, in every second of this torment. He accepted it with a kindness that surpasses human understanding, and all My future saints, who were to populate Heaven afterwards,* consoled and encouraged Me in this ocean of pain.

This Muslima is absolutely correct! I know I don’t look Muslim, but I am and I was fortunate enough to have been born into Islam. We all go through our ups and downs in our religion. But I can never follow any other religion and say there is any other God than Allah. People try to pervert Islam, but they cannot. Everything about Islam will always point back to truth. We Muslims are not Muslim because we have blind faith. We choose to be believers and my path is my path and it is not ok to tell me that I am not a Muslim. Mind yourself and your tongue or you will get that bad deed of lying. We should all give each other grace, tolerance, positive support and understanding of each other.

Eventually, alot of those curious sincere people will embrace Islam after searching and discovering the truth. That's why Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world.
It goes both ways. Yes, maybe people are discovering that Islam is great, but others are finding it disgusting. Maybe you are growing. Sabra al-Juhani reported on the authority of his father that while he was with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) he said:
O people, I had permitted you to contract temporary marriage with women, but Allah has forbidden it (now) until the Day of Resurrection. So he who has any (woman with this type of marriage contract) he should let her off, and do not take back anything you have given to them (as dower).
