  • On this episode of the Unresolved Podcast, I take a look at the town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, and the weird events that happened in the years of 1966 and 1967. This is more of a paranormal-based episode, taking a look at the introduction of the figures known as Indrid Cold (The Grinning Man) and the cryptic Mothman into the world's zeitgeist.
Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal Whelan.

Michael, NEVER apologize (4.25), for what drives you. If a few members of the peanut gallery, or as they say in Japan, "ceiling gallery" do not dig your directions, forays, tangents and junkets...then you have but one option: Tell 'em where the exits are. When you shine the light of your intellect on mysteries, you are doing a thing of Grace. Push open the creaky doors of mystery and shed all regard for what others may think! You set up your podcast and set up your audio deal. Rejoice in your freedom to do so and the fact that A. most lack the balls to actually DO what they dream, and B. Most out there are snoozing through life with no aspirations at all. Anyway, never forget this message: A chef doesn't cook only Italian dishes, she branches out into Vietnamese cuisine. A carpenter doesn't confine himself to only making kitchen cabinets. An artist who paints can sculpt, too! So much to do and see. Go get it ALL! Godspeed!

I truly enjoyed this episode! I have just found this podcast and now binge listening. However something weird happened while I was listening. I was born in Canton Ohio and when I was abt 7 watching the news with my grandma I saw the story of a bridge collapsing which showed pix of it. After that I was terrified of bridges and still am. I could not remember which bridge just the time of year and many killed. I believe that this was the bridge! Idk if this was the reason I started listening or just coincidence and I obviously never looked for it online. Just kinda odd. Anyway, I really enjoy and look forward to listening to most recent eps!! Thank you so much!!

Don't ever apologize for doing what interests you. I love the paranormal and wouldn't mind you doing more shows on it. After all, people into true crime and serial killers are an odd lot. I know I keep it to myself, people think your sick.

We are not alone on this planet, why we think we are brighter than others is just plain wrong, we are so arrogant.

From a West Virginia native our woods forests whatever you want to call it are creepy as hell in the dark, there's weird things here unknown animals, large black cats aren't supposed to be here and I swear it looked like a panther or something similar black about 3-4 feet tall at the shoulder roughly with yellow-green eyes that reflected light, I swear it was kinda stalking-walking along the trail about 30 feet roughly from me into the woodline where it was. It was almost silent. We have mountain lions & bobcats as well but neither of those are like oil slick black. In the dark with no lights you could get within feet of it as it doesn't move or make noise

Has John Cameron theorized claims that Edward Wayne Edwards was responsible for both the grinning man and mothman yet?

I really enjoy listening to this series . The research that goes into it takes real dedication. But keep it simple. Try not to use such flowery language. Too many times the same descriptive words are repeated within one sentence or phrase. And make sure you're not confusing one word for another.
    Minds are 'susceptible'.. not 'perceptible.'
These kinds of grammatical errors are terribly distracting.

I have several friends and family who would love these. I introduced two and we listened up to this one but doubtful if we'll continue with the series. I wasn't going to write this but we love the way you tell the story, your voice never gets tiring and the subject matter is quite alluring. HOWEVER, the long unnecessary musical breaks became a distraction, adding nothing to the story except to disrupt the rhythm. You do not tell a story and keep stopping to blow a tune on the harmonica. Again, it's the slow, choppy production that had us give up and not recommend, not the story telling, the story teller or the stories. With respect but disappointed...

the music, in my opinion, leaves room to think about the story..sadly nowadays many ppl have lost the ability of thinking for themselves...with this being GOd bless
