Yeah the aw11 is definitely underrated but I feel like these are just a little more under the radar than a aw11. I almost never see these at a car meet but i usually see at least one aw11 when I go
Also if you're really set on something that looks like an ae86, go for a Silvia s12 or something. Now if you want something that was produced around the same time as the ae86 and is still a Toyota, the a60 Celica and Celica supra hatchbacks are hella slept on. You'd be surprised in the different in popularity between the a60 and a70 supras. I've got a 1986 a60 Celica supra myself and it's very cool. Around 170 hp for the later models. Rwd. 5 speed manual. And a factory limited slip differential. There's also versions with and without fender flares (P type and L type) but the 1986 one is the best of both worlds
Yeah man the mk2 supras are undoubtedly slept on. If I make another video like this I’ll definitely put that on the list with the fx-16 as another underrated car. Toyota’s got a lot of great cars that from the 80’s that don’t get the hype they deserve.
Yeah I agree the A60 Celica / Mk2 Supra is like one of my favourite cars ever, especially the JDM Twincam 16 model with the AE86's 4A-GE engine (Celica AA63).
ngl I looked at half of these as a car to buy up and drift but a year ago I decided to try and go for the Z31 300zx mostly cause I think it might make a good drift car...
cant forget the MR2 AW11. i got an 87 one its gotta be the most 80s car possible, and its got the same engine as the 86
