Thanks for the kind comments. Yes, I obviously love my Venture. Unfortunately, I just parked it for the winter but it is still running like new and I look forward to next season.

I've got the 99 Venture. After 3 Harleys, and a few foreign bikes - this by far is my best & most comfortable ride I've had to date

I wonder is there any difference between of 1999 and 2009 models?

I sold Yamaha products for over 35 years and the royal star engine will last way over 100,000 miles with basic oil and filter changes. We never had even 1 royal star in service dept. For engine repair of any kind. The bike will outlive it's owners. It's at least as reliable as the Gold Wing engines!

Awesome motorbike.. just beautiful. Great job with your mods as well. Riding 2007 venture royal myself. Agree with everything you've said. So comfortable at 80mph..

Nice bike! I own a Deluxe 07 Royal Star tour. deluxe. They share the same engine and tranny as the Venture. The bikes are rock solid and reliable. Currently,.I have a little over 93k miles on mine. I use it to commute to work during the summer, and my favorite thing, is ROAD TRIPS! I've been to VA, West VA, NC, GA, TN, SC, NY, NJ, Del, MD, PA, KY, and OH, on trips riding my Tour Deluxe. I also used to own a Venture but unfortunately, it was totaled in a wreck. I'v been looking at buying another one to help with the trip duties alongside my RSTD.

I love your Yamaha. I own a Yamaha in 87 and then I switched over to Goldwing for three bikes I’ve gotten older and I moved over to a Can-Am but I miss the two wheels so I went out and bought a 2009 star red and blackbut it’s pretty chromed out like yours, but I’m gonna apologize in advance because I’m gonna copy your floorboards and your horns they really look good and I had one bike that was trimmed by mountain man once again love your bike. I prefer Yummies over Honda.

Usually, I would only do it if I heard tappet noise. I really did not this time, but because of the mileage (110,000 km) and since I had it in the shop, I decided to have it done.

A widow has one here where I live its a 09 with 29k on it. Her husband bought it new it's garage kept she want 4K for it. Im a Harley guy I've owned 11 of them and 2 real Indian Chiefs so I don't know squat about Japanese bikes. I want to do one more big road trip while I can and my two old Harley's don't fit the bill. If I buy it ill take grief for it from my buddies. Unlike a Harley you can't give used Japanese motorcycles away she's had it for sale for a while. The trader paper is full of them. I do know if I buy it for a road trip it won't break down on me.

My brothers and I have owned several Harleys. One still rides a beautiful Road Glide. An '09 Venture with 29k in pristine condition is a great price. The engine is bullet proof (V 4), awesome torque, liquid cooled, no vibration, super comfortable, lots of storage. Will cruise at 80mph all day long. Check tires, brake lines. Tune up likely a good idea.

Forget about what you friends did. When u buy it and ride it you'll regret you didn't do it sooner. For the money you can't beat them. Way underrated

It's a better bike than HDs frankly in many ways. I own one of these and the other, a Royal Star tour deluxe. I've ridden HD bikes for years as a motor officer and owner. Frankly, my 00 Venture and my 07 Tour deluxe are smoother and have not had 1/16 of the drama and issues the HDs I've ridden have had. You can ride on a trip and pretty much the bike will do as it should as long as it's been maintained properly. I bought the 07 first and was so impressed with it, It has given me years of great rides (85k miles worth of great trips), that I bought a used 00 Venture with only 9k miles on it last June 2023. My Tour Deluxe has been all up and down the East Coast on touring trips and has never left me stranded or searching for that '"large dealership network" because, with a Yamaha, you pretty much don't need it. Who cares what your friends think? Most of the HD riders who do are posers anyway who can't ride for shiggidy. They bought a bike like a pair of Nikes, to look cool and be with the "in" crowd. As a former HD owner and longtime rider as a motor cop, I say get the Venture and it will do good by you as long as you service it. BTW the pipes are quiet but if you want to make some noise, replace them with SharkRoad megaphones or a set of use Vance and Hines Monster Ovals. The bike will sound awesome like my 07 Tour deluxe which I installed Sharkroad megaphones on. I always get compliments on her sound.

I also ride motor cone courses on the 07 with 85k on it and teach others slow-speed riding skills on top of it.

    Hello Ron.
    Wonderful bike!!
I have the midnight star, i would like to know if the lower fairing is from the Yamaha stock or outmarket ??
Your engine protector bar, are in two pieces or one??
    Thanks for all

    • @rong60
      @rong60  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Aaron,
Thanks for the compliment. It is certainly a pleasure to ride.
The lower fairing is original Yamaha. It was part of the Royal Star Venture package. The engine protector crash bars are the same...included with this touring bike. And they are two separate pieces.
      Enjoy your bike!
