"The Blackest Day" is actually about the stages of grief she gets when she breaks up with her boyfriend. The bridge is really supposed to be different from the rest of the song as it represents her anger and denial. Its probably my fav lana song next to "without you"

I was not a fan of LfL for a while but Honeymoon was the easily the worst Lana album to me up until this year actually. So I can sure relate.. It's still definitely not my favorite album, but I respect it so much more now. High by the Beach is still retardo overrated tho.
Some people on the comment section are over thinking “Swan Song”. They’re right about the meaning of the title which is based on the myth that swans sing before they die. My interpretation of the song is a little different, the term swan song is not talking about herself dying or committing suicide. She’s talking about her career, she loves this guy so much that she’s willing to stop singing and go somewhere and be with her man. That’s why she says she’ll never sing again and says that she’s made enough money and had enough recognition. She’s content with how far she’s gotten and not she wants her man
Yes!!! I’m 25 now but I still remember the day we learned swan song in English lit back in highschool 🤣 it’s meant to be like your final masterpiece. Something so great it can’t be topped!! Like that’s it, best artwork ever created, time to retire.
in salvatore, soft ice cream can be a play with the words "soft I scream", in a situation that is both violent and impassable in loving this powerful man, with only a few freedoms remain within that contentment
I don’t know if you know Florence + the machine but you should check her out she’s BEAUTIFUL like her vocals are POWERFUL and her lyrics are beautiful and her production is amazing! 10/10 recommend!
This is one of my favorites of hers, it's the main CD that stays in my car along with Gaga's "Joanne" and Sam Smith's "The Thrill of It All". Edit - supposedly there was a time that "Music to Watch Boys To" was going to be the album title, but honestly, I'm glad it is what it is.
I’m so happy for you. And now you are part of Lana’s world. It’s kind of excited watching people listening Lana for the first time. I discovered her in 2013 I’m still here. Honeymoon is my favorite album. But every album makes me feel different. And that’s why Lana is so special and a complete artist.
lana said that she would do with honeymoon what she wasn’t able to do with ultraviolence and when you hear the ultraviolence demo you can definitely see some honeymoon there
Absolutely love your reaction! I'm so thankful for Honeymoon's existence because it really is its own moment and can only be compared to her prior work so much. Such a unique soundscape with all the echoey effects, the free flowing melodies, the highs and lows her voice reaches. This album came out less than a year and a half after Ultraviolence, and it's crazy how stark the differences are. I definitely have to be in the mood for this, but it's my go to album for rainy days or early sunrises :) thank you for doing it justice!
She's dropping a new album at the end of this year or the start of next year, we don't know yet. It's called chemtrails over the country club and some people say that we might be getting the fisr single/music video this month.
@Connor/Howell i think she said it's gonna be like nfr because she kept the same producer and she also said in an interview that some songs have like country vibe to it so idk. She posted a snipped of Tulsa Jesus Freak (one of the songs in the album) on her ig and it sounded like nfr and lfl mixed. Some fans also think that it will be like a more vibey honeymoon bc of the aesthetics of this album as they give off rich, vintage vibes. She has filmed the music video for the first single and she posted a video on set on her ig and those are the vibes ppl picked out.
Fun fact: when lana says "lights camera action ill do it On my own" is actually a Referrence to her lizzy grant era where she was says "lights camera action you know i can't make it on my own" in put me in a movie!
Lana has a poetry book out called “violet bent backwards over the grass” and I think there is an audio version you can listen to so maybe that got people confused. I believe she is supposed to have an actual album out soon but no date confirmed. She did release a collaboration song called “hallucinogenics” with Matt Maeson and its so good!
Yess this album is not a lot of people’s favorite on the first listen because it’s much slower than her previous work, but then it becomes their top favorite album as time passes so I’m happy to see you loved it right away. Till this day I’m obsessed with Art Deco and get chills listening to it. Lana is an Artist that will stand the end of time I’m my opinion she is a lyrical genius!
Yo when you finish listening to her discography you should listen to her first album. It was made in 2008 when she was kind of first becoming a thing. The record is called “Lana Del Rey aka lizzy grant” and it’s on TH-cam.
Swan song is based on the myth that swans sing a beautiful song before they die, and so by being together they won't be free to do their individual passions anymore, she will never sing again, he will never work again. but then again why work so hard when you can just be 'free' (dead) ?
I think this album is so hit and miss with Lana fans because it depends on what aspects of her previous works you love. I'm not a fan of Ultraviolence (go ahead and hang me) but I absolutely see the aspects of her style that people love in it. Honeymoon is one of my absolute favorite albums as a full project and of hers but I can see why it's not for everyone. I'm so glad you also enjoyed it for so many of the things that made me fall in love with it.
her next album is in the works. I think it was supposed to be released in Sept but I'm sure the pandemic put it back but its been confirmed that she is working on music videos for it already. She did just release her Poetry album/ book. so you can pick up a hard copy AND hear it vocalized by her. it is Called "Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass". I"M SO HAPPY YOURE DOING THIS! as a Lana fan, I always wonder how other people interpret her music (as I'm sure many other people wonder about their favorite artists fans). I love that this is your first time listening to each album in their entirety. Being hit with all of it in such a short amount of time is something I wish I could experience as someone who really resinates with her lyrics. I literally get emotional when I watch your reactions, especially to songs that really hit deep for me. Cannot wait for the next 2! you're definitely going to love Lust for Life. Its much more upbeat while still holding firmly onto that Lana vibe. The diversity of Talent she brought onto the album is exquisite and wonderfully orchestrated. Love your videos!!!
I LOVE this album. It's so cohesive and just beautiful. Lana sure knows how to create a movie in your head. My favourite song on this album (favourite LDR song even, maybe) is The Blackest Day. It's so deep and low and dark and fragile. While at the same time it's so confident in its portrayal of self pity and hurt. The lyrics are amazing, but if you focus on the production while listening, you appreciate it even more because it's so... reduced. So many tiny details that break your heart and crush your soul. Ah! I just wanna scream about it. God Knows I Tried is another one of those songs that I wasn't connecting with at first but it's really growing on me like barnacle. This album is so underrated. It's so freaking good. You know NFR is a masterpiece. But when I watch reactions to her earlier albums (which has become a hobby of mine) I get reminded that she's always been that brilliant. She really stands out and her music, singing and songwriting will stand the test of time.
I looove your reactons! Anyway she released a spoken word album for her book of poetry "Violet bent backwards over the grass" and her upcoming album "Chemtrails over the Country Club" should be released in December or January
I‘m so happy you understand and enjoy the album, some reactors just think it’s boring and don‘t pay attention to the actual poetry behind this masterpiece! Makes me like you even more :)
I was one of the people who mentioned to you about "terrence loves you", since it is also my favorite on the album because I love bowie very much too, and I understand your feeling, I also cried a lot when I heard it for the first time, annd not to mention the 'space oddity' part. The first Lana song I ever heard was from this album, 24. I found the lyrics of the second verse somewhere and I looked the song up. I swear I can still clearly remember hearing her voice for the first time. And I was like yes yes YES! This kind of music is what I'd been looking for and I instantly knew I was going to be a fan. PS the bridges in this album are the bestest, they are all so gooodd
i never got the hype for “terrence loves you” even though everyone says it’s the fav on the album, but one day i was in my car in the passenger seat, it was the middle of the night and it hit me. this song definitely grew on me and it’s a masterpiece

2. Salvatore
1. Freak
same bestie, i used to skip almost half of the album when it was first released but now its my fave along with norman f**king rockwell
same i think it’s an acquired taste
@@lu-th2nq Same! I didn't like it when it came out, now its also my tied favourite along with NFR!
I was not a fan of LfL for a while but Honeymoon was the easily the worst Lana album to me up until this year actually. So I can sure relate.. It's still definitely not my favorite album, but I respect it so much more now. High by the Beach is still retardo overrated tho.
24 is a masterpiece !!! Y’all go stream it it’s so good
The pre_chorus of Religion is one of the best things Lana's ever done
burnt Norton is actually a poem by T.S. Eliot talking about the perception of time
Some people on the comment section are over thinking “Swan Song”.
I second this!! Florence is so underrated
FLORENCE IS THE MOST UNDERRATED ARTIST EVER
When she said Lana make her want to do weird moves with her hands, Florence came to ny thoughts immediately!
Yes!
Gabriel Bastos same!
This is one of my favorites of hers, it's the main CD that stays in my car along with Gaga's "Joanne" and Sam Smith's "The Thrill of It All".
Edit - supposedly there was a time that "Music to Watch Boys To" was going to be the album title, but honestly, I'm glad it is what it is.
joanne ♥️
I’m so happy for you. And now you are part of Lana’s world. It’s kind of excited watching people listening Lana for the first time. I discovered her in 2013 I’m still here. Honeymoon is my favorite album. But every album makes me feel different. And that’s why Lana is so special and a complete artist.
This album was such a comfort for me during hard times
lana said that she would do with honeymoon what she wasn’t able to do with ultraviolence and when you hear the ultraviolence demo you can definitely see some honeymoon there
Absolutely love your reaction!
@Connor/Howell it might have some country vibes, but honestly I think this is going to be another LFL in the sense it'll have more than 1 vibe
That guy in Salvatore is CRYING (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)
first
Second
girl experiment listen to honey with earphoneee
peak of comedy
I'm so happy you enjoyed Honeymoon. I think it's her most underrated album. This is simply pure art!
Best album ever. Still mad she didn’t get Grammys for it.
I love these reactions! It makes me weirdly happy when people discover Lana's music and I get to see it 😍
i’m so excited for her to get to nfr
This is my second favourite album of hers. Glad to see you enjoying it. You re Gorgeous !
Lana has a poetry book out called “violet bent backwards over the grass” and I think there is an audio version you can listen to so maybe that got people confused. I believe she is supposed to have an actual album out soon but no date confirmed. She did release a collaboration song called “hallucinogenics” with Matt Maeson and its so good!
wait i just realized “soft ice cream” sounds like “soft i scream” when you mentioned it sounded out of place...
The record is called “Lana Del Rey aka lizzy grant” and it’s on TH-cam.
i’m so late but i feel like aka would scare her a lot.
Girl you look amazing!! The reflection of the lights on the glass is soo aesthetic ✨✨
I’m really glad you love this album!! Honeymoon isn’t the fan fav. Some even say it’s boring. But for me it’s her best record
you’re wrong
you should listen to the DEMO version of FREAK you’ll see a hidden alternative bridge in it and it’s so beautiful 😭🖤
fr like how did she get from "marry me, marry me.." to "ohh you're cold as ice.."
her next album is in the works.
You should also react to Lana's unreleased songs, please, they're sooo good!!
She will transcend with NFL and Lust for life, love your reactions!
I was one of the people who mentioned to you about "terrence loves you", since it is also my favorite on the album because I love bowie very much too, and I understand your feeling, I also cried a lot when I heard it for the first time, annd not to mention the 'space oddity' part. I really appreciate your work and reaction to this album, and the fact that you felt that song in the same way that I did, it makes me veery happy.
a lot of love xx
the transition of Freak to Art Deco is just so heavenly!
Honeymoon its my favorite lana album of all times. i listen to it almost everyday since it came out. makes me feel like i'm floating in the clouds damn
LOVE THIS ALBUM!! SO HAPPY YOU LISTEN TO HER NOW❤️❤️❤️
I wish more people liked Honeymoon. I love it so much.
Terrence loves you has been extra painful since David's passing for sure
I just recently discovered you and I’m so glad I did. Watching you react to Lana del Rey literally Maskes me so so happy.
It’s a CRIME to not listen to these albums with headphones 😭
The first Lana song I ever heard was from this album, 24. I found the lyrics of the second verse somewhere and I looked the song up. I swear I can still clearly remember hearing her voice for the first time. And I was like yes yes YES! This kind of music is what I'd been looking for and I instantly knew I was going to be a fan.
PS the bridges in this album are the bestest, they are all so gooodd
Salvatore is one of my all time favorite lana songs. I feel like its soo underrated
Salvatore and the blackest day are beautiful to me. This album is so mesmerizing I can’t even express it.
Love this video 💙 as always
OMG i’ve been waiting so long for you to react to honeymoon😍😍😍
:)
i never got the hype for “terrence loves you” even though everyone says it’s the fav on the album, but one day i was in my car in the passenger seat, it was the middle of the night and it hit me. this song definitely grew on me and it’s a masterpiece
Salvatore is such a gorgeous song and I feel like people find it weird or don’t appreciate it enough. 😭😭 one of my favs from the album
im sooo glad you gave freak the recognition it deserves 😌
Finally someone appreciates Religion (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)
Someone appreciates Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood too. :’)
I cried this entire video, idk what it is about Lana and especially people reacting to her so purely gets me
For a first timer, Honestly this album is a whole yawn. but again, it grows on you each time you listen to it again and again
Budie Ratmawan the moment I realized I’m in love with this record was when I was mature enough to distinguish real art from trash
This album is definitely a grower
totally agree. I hated this album upon first listen. Found it super boring, but its grown on me quite a bit now.
it was released when i was 13. i never understood the subject matter. now i’m 18, gone through some really hard breakups and losses and i connect with it so deeply now.
@@KassidyGonzales sh*t. I’m 18 and my biggest drama in life atm is that I want a cat and my father hates them (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)
HONEYMOON is such a delicate baby ! i love it so haaard ! ur reaction must be honest no matter what u are free and i like to see it here !
Also, I think you will love Lust for Life. It's actually a bit political and she explores different sounds but still is quintessential Lana.
I get the exact same feeling from this album, lyrically it should be sad, but it's just so calming :)
