“You’re saying the lives of a Billion Strangers are more important than my loved ones?” is not something an experienced Spider-Man should ever say
I somewhat agree because this is very reverent in the comics as well whenever his loved ones are in danger he focusses all his time to getting them safe and sometimes acts out of character to keep his loved ones safe. It has been done numerous times throughout the comics.
@SonicEditYTit was probably just a thought he had at the moment, because of the stress he had.
It’s not just a thought if it carries onto his decision to risk the universe dying to save MJ from an event Miguel is erasing anyway.
I can look past it if he already understood that saving the lives of said billions of strangers is the right thing to do and the choice he promises to do, even if he believes that said loved ones are more personally more important to him (sentimental value) than the strangers.
**In Tony Todd’s Venom Voice**
*_But that’s not what happened,…_*
*_is it?_*
“Why did Spider-Man save the lives of billions of strangers? Is he stupid?”
-EFAP (probably)
You know, I could honestly vibe with a story where Peter starts out more selfish like this, if it were treated as an alternate continuity and Peter's selfishness is a problem he has to grow from through his adventure with Miguel. Like, if I were randomly tasked with rewriting this, I'd make it a much younger less experienced Peter, and the way that he prioritzes his loved ones would be used to foreshadow CEO Peter. It's not just someone Peter could become, he's someone Peter is already in the process of becoming. Then during the infamous billion strangers scene, Miguel would confront him, saying something like "Literally, factually, yes! We need to save those billions no matter what, and if you don't get that then you're not the Spider-Man I've heard so much about!" Something like that to actually call out Peter for being such a selfish prick. Then that could be the start of Peter's growth or something? I'm not really sure, that's as far as I can think up
Nah, you're cooking.
edge of time Spidey has the coolest suit out of all of them, the messy webs look awesome
A friend told me that in Peter’s bio that it explains that the time paradoxes or quantum causalities affects Peter’s personality a bit which would explain his selfishness. The game doesn’t explain that tho. I tried finding information of the bio but can’t find it online. I would turn my game on but I would have to find my Xbox 360 from the attic and plug it in. I don’t feel like doing all that.
That’s what I said to him but he said that based on him learning the same lessons with uncle Ben Gwen etc it’s still character assassination
@ Not really if he his present self is slowly turning into his future self but still is his original self at the same time. It really isn’t if it’s affecting his mind. Miguel is the only one that should really be unaffected with everything because he got stuck in the portal when everything happened.
Not true. What the game actually states is that Peter’s personality is affected by the anti aging drug, which Peter doesn’t use yet in the game.
@@s.k.4289 I’m pretty sure it was stated in his character bio in Edge Of Time that the time paradoxes was slowly affecting him. Which the game didn’t tell us.
@@spider-manunknown9193Even if that was true, that still doesn’t save Peter’s character in the game because it should’ve been stated in the cutscenes and not a lot of players are gonna read bios. Besides, if Present Peter is effected, so should Future Peter, but we don’t see that happen.
Insomniac Peter would’ve been ashamed of his Edge of Time counterpart for being a hypocrite and being dismissive of billons of strangers. Also being shameful of his counterpart kissing Blackcat , and Insomniac Peter was already in a stable relationship with MJ.
@@nishchayjain1121 He didn’t really kiss her rather she was about to but fade away.
Insomniac Universe Peter >Edge of Time Universe Peter
Maybe in getting trapped under the fridge, if that is what you are referring to
spectacular spider-man > every adaptation of spider-man ever
@@bandzinyojaw Edging time spider-man > all
Edge of Time Peter got power drained by Anti-Venom because he didn’t think to maybe play keep away in the gateway room when he’s clearly faster than Anti-Venom and Eddie is often struggling. He also didn’t think to take out Sloan once Eddie was unresponsive.
@@s.k.4289I’m pretty sure Eddie would’ve just drain Peter of his powers anyways had he gone for that strategy
I don’t think this guy understands that you can feel bad and have regrets over something that felt right to do, or at least justified in the moment in very reasonable ways. The point is that Spider Man does the best he can, (except in this game) and when things still don’t work out because he couldn’t do enough, not just didn’t, but was not able to save everyone or whatever, he clings onto the idea that he should’ve done more, which IS unhealthy and IS the point, but is ALSO understandable,
Out of most of the marvel heroes I know about what’s wrong with Spiderman being a bit selfish when it comes to his loved ones from time to time ? I mean he’s relatable as a character cause he’s so flawed right ? I’ve only read a few Spidey comics but I like the one where he’s a father & has a daughter who takes up the spider mantle. I’d love to see more grown up Spiderman stories & I still like Edge of time as a video game I like the combat & the banter between Peter & Miguel is fun to listen to & 2099 Spiderman deserves some more spotlight like Batman Beyond there interesting characters in the stories they have written about them
"You're saying the lives of a billion strangers are more important than my loved ones?"
That Aunt May death scene from Insomniac Spiderman will always hit, its Spider Mans dedication to responsibility in its purest form
I love both games they are fantastic.
I think the reason why ppl give insomniac spiderman for not having enough flaws even when he dies is because they're more nuanced and ppl don't pay attention to the game. I also think it's cuz he doesn't have an attitude as much as other versions of the character
You’re saying the lives of a billion strangers are more important than my loved ones?

Oh boy…
Insomniac Spider-Man is the best Spider-Man
@SonicEditYT Debatable…
Maybe debateable but insomniac and spectacular Spider-Man are my favourite adaptations of the character
I think spectacular is the best adaptation but tbh both are goated it really is up to preference
