I have this exact same range vent. I installed it by myself a couple of months ago. I vented mine thru the side of the house since no vent was in the wall. Yours looks like a 4" vent. That's exactly what mine is. Many people suggested against this wanting a 6" instead. I didn't have enough room above my cabinets (their 36" tall) and also in-between the 2x4's on my outer wall. So mine is vented inside the top of my cabinets in the very back with 4" pipe. I haven't had any issues even on low as all the smoke from bacon, sausage and other meats get sucked right out. Boiling water goes right out as well. I absolutely love this range hood. Even on low the outside vent will mess up your hair immediately. The only difference is I installed a 6" reducer to a 4" coming off the hood. I went with all rigid and no flex. I also installed the outside vent slightly upward so it always closes by gravity without downdrafts. Great job.
