So beautiful had me balling my eyes out to think of what Roy overcame to be on stage one last time with the very tiger responsible for his injuries, he loved his animals
I did my honeymoon in the 90's, and this was the first show we saw in Vegas: Siegried and Roy. With the Mirage gone, their garden has been closed, and all traces of their passage have been erased. Such is life! it is sad because they were innovators and captivated their audience in ways that never existed before them. There maybe some solace with an individual's initiative to make a museum of one of their house in Las Vegas.
This is one of the most beautiful videos on youtube, and it brought a tear to my eye. The performance is absolutely incredible and the music just ads a whole other layer to it's emotion.
As a magician myself(retired) and a serious animal lover it was lovely to see them again despite his very life threatening injuries he came back for one last performance with his friend and saviour montesore and the love and friendship was still there, I never got to see their shows as I reside in the UK but my friend saw them many years ago and he said it was the most fascinating and wonderful show he had ever seen, they are all together now R. I. P seigfried and Roy and all your furry friends good night and fly with the angels now❤️

That was not a Tigerattack! The Tiger - his best Friend Tiger - wants to help him, as he get ill on Stage. Like ALL Cats try to pick up her Kittens or "Friends" if they feel something ist no good. Our Cat try it, to help my doughter if she cries of fun. The cat try to bring her away bei pick up with the mouth! That looks funny!!

But entirely consistent with the vagaries of nature. It is far harder for humankind to dominate a microorganism that doesn't even have the status of being alive than a large wild animal.
They both gave us so much. I am in tears watching this. My heart goes out to Seigfried who lost his soulmate, and to Roy who died so unfairly. We just never know. Sending love and prayers.

I saw the dark side of the 2000s and felt for that young boy who was attacked. But god bless Siegfried and Roy still. What a couple of legends. Amazing and strong. Overcame adversity. I could cry. lol. They will be remembered.
This performance made me cry and the music fits perfectly, I bet there wasn't a single dry eye in that show. And at 6:13 when Siegfried said: "Look for the magic that is around you. In nature, plants, flowers and all the animals which we share this planet with. Look for it and let it enlighten your heart and your life." Have your magic tricks, enjoy your shows. They are beautiful and filled with wonderment people of all ages can enjoy. But...leave the dolphins and the whales in the oceans. The tigers out of the casinos and the circus. Leave the elephants to live out there days together as an elephant should. It's time it ended if only it ended in the homes too.
Before his death Siegfried admitted that such a show would not be possible today given people's growing consciousness and concern for the concern for the animals' welfare.

No, Siegfried and Roy were different. They provided their animals with luxurious homes and their animals were never locked up by them. They were like family. Although Manticore (sorry if I spelt it wrong) injured him, Roy made sure that they never hurt Manticore. Yes they used the animals for entertainment but it was more as a form of family bonding. Their bond was extremely strong and touching.
Can I just say how incredibly sad this is, seeing these two, trying their very best to be the amazing showmen that they were. And of course even sadder that Roy has passed, so has the tiger Montecore, and to think of Siegfried, all alone now...just crying over how sad this is. I know it wasn't right to keep the tigers for entertainment, but I truly believe that Roy loved those animals, his heart was in the right place, but the "business" part of it got in the way of clear thinking what was best for the animals. Roy can now run and play again with his beloved Montecore, and all the other beautiful animals in heaven...now they are ALL free!
