The anti kickback fingers as you called them are a godsend and work very very well

I have had this model of tablesaw for 5 years. I like it very much. However it does some issues. I am a small time contractor. This means I have to bring my saw to where I am working. It is a little awkward to load in my truck. The 16 inch wheels more than make up for it. All the other brands have 4 inch wheels and are very hard to move around the job site and up and down stairs. Depending on what I am cutting I use different blades, it does not have a blade caddy. The slide for the fence fills with sawdust and when it is freezing out becomes inoperable. My big complaint about it is that the mechanism to raise the blade requires a lot of maintenance. It got so stiff that the plastic wheel stripped and I use visegrips now. I do really like that it will rip a 4 x 4 in one go instead of being 1/8 inch shy like all the other saws. It has enough power to rip a PT 4 x 4.

I also love the saw and have struggled with the blade height wheel. Debris seemed to get trapped in any grease on the vertical gear. I blasted it with brake cleaner and used a wire brush, now it operates much better. I also hated the lack of a proper zero clearance but I found a decent one on Amazon just this last month

Should be labeled “SKILSAW”, rather than “SKIL”.
