Some songs when you're older you listen to to remind yourself of yesteryear and how much better things were back in the day and some songs remind us of the ones we've lost
I'm 76 and have probably heard EVERY great song from the 1950s to today. I state emphatically, that this song by Garth is one of the 3 top songs OF ALL TIME, (including everything that Hank Sr has done). But, if you are a person who cannot LOVE extremely and deeply. If your soul is not fully ALIVE, you will not be able to appreciate what I have just stated..........
My husband use to stay up at night and watch me sleep, take pictures because he thought i was the most beautiful person. Now hes gone taken from me and i have to face this world without him, i live because of the love he gave me.

Im in my 40s, been married almost 22 years, my wife doesnt know how bad it is but i have heart problems. Every nite when we lay down to bed this song just runs through my head on loop. I told her last week that nothing is certain and her life should continue if anything happened to me... But, god as my witness, i dont care if its 50 years.... I will wait for her on the front porch because i want her hand in mine when i meet god. I love her so much.

You should tell her, I think it would help you both. The day that my dad passed away, my brother was going to take him to the doctor for me but I felt like I needed to go as well. I was his caregiver. I am so glad that I was there. Be there for each other and don't leave her feeling like she didn't get some type of closure with it. God willing you will be around for each other for a long time.

My aunt Patty,who is still alive but towards the end of her days.. She has suffered from dementia for the past 10+ years. She don't remember more than half of her family but she knows this song word for word by heart. We play it for her often, I love to watch her close her eyes and just let this song flow through her. I lost my husband April 16th of 2021 to COVID My mother 11 days later also my husband left behind me and our twins three and a half years old at the time My son has autism I currently have a boyfriend but I can't ever see myself marrying another man I'm a change my mind someday but taking those vows again I think would be hard for me we were married nearly 19 years I have settled my grief but our daughter hasn't being a kid she just doesn't understand. And its gut wrenching every time she cries for him and says I just want my daddy back. I wish so much I could give her what she wants but it's the impossible. I just try to explain to her that he will always be in her heart and that he is watching her from heaven keeping her safe it's never enough though.
