La orquesta de maravilla, super bravo para esa orquesta buena. La voz, bueno notas muy agudas, un fraseo bonito, pero aqui el asunto es que el liston Fagioli lo dejó muy alto, entonces superarlo esta dificil.

The poor fella just hasn’t got Fagioli’s mature voice, and magnificence. I think there is not enough vocal support (the voice disappears at times)…… it’s all “voce blanca” . Unfortunate sound for such a spectacularly emotive aria.
Mariño is a lyric soprano, so he can't project the low notes as well as Fagioli. He is a true soprano, not a countertenor, as he has a high speaking voice
It's not my intention roasting him. I just think this aria is an unappropriate one for him as the composer calls for low notes constantly. In addition the composer calls for a pair of natural horns (known for their noisy and loudy sound), and there an excessive number of stringed instruments on stage and this increases the overall volume and makes it harder for the singer project his voice forward if he/she is singing an unappropriate aria.
