This game is one of my favorites games of all time. I couldn’t even tell you how many times I replayed it if you asked me.

If we do get a RE5 Remake I hope its made as well as the RE4 remake. It has quite a lot of potential for co-op compared to when it originally came out.
It would also be the first co op game in the RE engine
But i would love a "solo" option if you don't want to play co-op.
I think going the coop route will only just risk repeating the past mistake that almost killed the franchise. What saved it was going back to it's roots.
If they do remake 5 they should remake it, they need to rewrite it inline with their original vision for the game before the changes were added.
The action focus, the tacked on coop is a mistake.

After playing this recently and doing Professional mode it made me realize just how underrated this game was. Sure it has its issues no doubt and has almost zero horror aspect anymore. Still, this game is very underrated and a lot of fun. I also really like Sheva as a character.

RE5 is so weird to me. It's not a good Resident Evil game by any metric, but it has some of the most fun gameplay in the franchise for me. It's probably my third most replayed after RE4 and RE3 (both OG).
Kinda agree, it's not a "good Resident Evil" game, but its a fine "game" overall. Doesn't have the puzzles, lore, ambient, style etc of what RE games were up to that point, but on it's own, it's a fun game.
@@YawnMK1I tried to replay it on PS3 recently and couldn't believe how clunky it is on that. Don't remember it being like that on Xbox 360.

Wish he played on a harder difficulty such as professional because the damage taken is absolutely ridiculous and I think it would’ve been so funny to witness bawk dying countless of times.
that fact that bawk wont even play the game normally without NG+ weapons and still find the experience unenjoyable says a lot
he just sucks at re5.
If you can only play NG+ then you’re gonna be ass at the game.
In all fairness. Resi 5 sucks so much ass....when played solo. That was his first mistake. I love resi 5 but I would never play it solo. It lives and dies by its coop which is pretty damn stellar.

There is a method to start a complete new game but it requires intentionally corrupting your save file (so a backup would be advised), then the game will make a new blank save file for a new game run.

RE5 is weird. It doesnt feel right as a resident evil game for me, but honestly I really enjoy replaying it

Considering resident evil 5 is the highest selling game in the series I would say a few people care
RE5 was my favorite RE by far, followed by village but i got into RE kinda late so i guess i'm biased
6 is a fun game but it's definitely not really RE besides name haha
people shit on re6 for being "over the top" and forget about giant fire breathing midget statue robot chase scene from re4.

RE5 in Steam is a curse imo. Somehow they still use that GFWL lol
they don't. for years now. they removed it, also patched out and simplified QTEs.
@Zeon081 I tried it no more than 6 months ago and it was still using GFWL so I just un-installed because I didn't feel like dealing with it to make it work properly

For me, RE5 is probably the most forgettable even though it has iconic characters and events. I didn't like how hard it went in to the two party system, roided out Chris, a story/style which didn't resonate with me and an awful colour palette.
It's not awful but I didn't think it was great. Just one of those "middling" experiences which I don't put a lot of thought or interest towards after I did my one and done.
And that’s what is so interesting to me because I absolutely love this game and rate it my top 3 re games of all time! It’s so cool seeing how many people either love or hate this game, and I am the minority who loves this game for what it brought it here table. I absolutely enjoyed the two player aspect (I had two brothers and we always played this together) I loved the piss grain this game displayed, the roofed out Chris is iconic because of this game, and honestly sheva is such a cool partner to go with this game! I love this game and respect others opinions if they don’t, but neither opinion is wrong and I will always advocate for how much I love this game.

I'm not going to lie, the only thing I loved about the game the most is the Stun Rod. It's the most fun I've had playing the game, lol. I've had to pretty much learn the game all over again just so it was manageable....other than the parts of the game where I was forced to use ammo.
One of the main reasons why I never relayed played 5 much was due to the forced NPC companion and it was just a chore to play because it's AI was atrocious, it wasn't even memorable baring one or two moments, I generally felt that RE4 was the superior game even though it was 4 years older.

No Sheva, she was just an NPC that helped Chris from time to time, Chris is alone, Single player, more focus on survival horror, more zombies, tyrants and plagas.
RE5 came out in a different era where coop, COD and these types of shooters were all the rage, nowadays most people just want a solo, cinematic story driven experience in which the RE4R was an absolutely spectacle.
They need to continue the momentum from RE4R and going the coop, action route again will only repeat past mistakes.
Having Sheva as a competent NPC companion would be ok I guess, I'd still rather be alone but they need to keep that coop shit out of this franchise.
It’s not that foreign of a concept that in a world with biological and chemicals advancements, a senior BSAA agent such as Chris who is tasked with fighting lickers, reapers, and of course superhuman Wesker takes an advanced form of PEDs (performance enhancing drugs).
