@@xxdeadchannelxx Oh yeah, sorry for my typo. Sometimes, when I think of the word Hornet, it reminds me of the Hudson Hornet cars. I forgot to take the word Hudson out of my previous comment here, so I edited it after your reply was posted to avoid confusion with Hudson Hornets. Think of it as an odd nickname. By the way, did you know that last year, I had fun with the NASCAR Ride-Along Experience at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway? The stock car I was in looked similar to the one you drove in this arcade video game.
@@xxdeadchannelxx I play it on the model 3 emulator in 4k with a xbox one controller force feedback and right and left triggers accelerate and break. Also scud race and sega rally 2. 60fps proper arcade perfect roms. Absolutely amazing the model 3 games. Way ahead of its time.
@@chadbrick67 For me, I play it on the same emulator, but with the Thrustmaster TX Leather Edition racing wheel with pedals, shifter, and force feedback. And I agree that this game looks incredible for 1998. These graphics still hold up well today. I heard that this game did get a home port, but it was only on some Yakuza game. To me, it should've been ported as a standalone game. It should include both versions, which are Battle On The Edge and Power Edition.
@@xxdeadchannelxx yes mate it's on that new gaiden man who erased his name. I've got the ps4 version. The actual game is titled sega classic racing 2 because they can't use daytona because of licensing issues. Still plays exactly the same. But only in 4.3 no wide-screen like the model 3 emulator. Have you tried daytona usa on the teknoparrot emulator it's the latest arcade version from 2017 I think there's also sega rally 3 arcade on there. Fantastic emulator. Easy to setup and even tweak the rom settings to give extra laps and freeplay etc etc. Loads of teknoparrot roms on Internet archives
@@chadbrick67 I haven't played the newer Daytona on Teknoparrot. But I have played it at Dave and Busters. The graphics do look nice, but I still don't think it's anywhere near as good as the original Daytona USA or Daytona USA 2. I do know what Teknoparrot is, but I won't download it because of how insanely long the download takes to complete. As for Sega Racing 2 Classic, there are a couple things that changed. For one thing, the Dodge Viper pace car has been changed to something else. Don't know what the car is. But other than that, I'm glad we have a home port. I am a little disappointed that Sega Racing Classic 2 isn't a standalone game though.
I feel like driving a toy car in this version because the car feel a bit too small compared to the surrounding (size of the lane, building, etc). Am i the only one?
I like how the original Hornet stock car from Daytona USA 1 was already considered a classic in the late 1990s.
It's actually a Chevrolet Lumina stock car.

I can't even drift that smooth! Damn Well!
It takes a lot of practice.
Made it look ridiculously easy
Yeah. I've been playing this game for a few years now. It took me awhile to get a hang of the Hornet Classic.
