Mark, thanks for sgaring this with us! From what I saw in this video, it didn't look like it was necessary for the road to be closed. I originally read twice. The road was closed permanently, so i'm surprised to gear it will even be opening again. Sounds like you don't believe there's anything nefarious going on there, which is good. I was concerned they might be getting set up to do some mining up in there...
@@MarkHuneycutt why "silly"? People can't ask a logical question and inquire about something perfectly plausible (about possible mining)...how is that "silly"?
@@TheSwissChalet It's not really a logical question. Mining on the parkway? While they are trying really hard to clean and repair the road so it can be opened to the public? That police officer was so polite he almost seemed Canadian. He even reminded you to turn off your light to save the battery.
Good job Mark, Thank You. Sorry you got the ticket.
I've driven that many times but not in over 30 years. Good to see the Blue Ridge. We already have snow here in the Rockies. Sorry you got a ticket but thank you for accepting it as a man.🙏
Hahaha. Hardly a criminal! Thanks Mark for keeping us informed. It's so surreal :(
Sorry you got the citation. Thanks for the update and for your service.
I’ve been stopped several times by these rangers, they are the most decent law enforcement I’ve ever encountered.
I enjoyed the ride with you. I live in Tennessee close to the smokies. I was wondering how they are doing up there. Sorry about the ticket but you handled it well. Thanks for the video.
Unlucky, but thanks for getting the footage. Stay safe.
Always had a lot of respect for you Mark. Still do! 👍👍👍👍
Well, well, it looks like there'd be warning signs and not just citations. That's a heartbreak.
Hey you got what you went for! Thanks for doing hazardous duty for us. I'd likely have done it too. And you held your tongue not telling the officer there were zero trucks and no hazards except him. lol 😂
Thanks for letting people know whats going on. Hope you are getting everything sorted out at the airport and at home etc. #freeMarkHuneycutt
Two guys being respectful of each other. If only every encounter with law enforcement were like this...
He really licked that boot clean.
@@Austin152-S lol
Thank God for the workers and officers cleaning up the mess and keeping folks safe.
So sorry Mark! I live in Hendersonville and take the Parkway off hwy 25 to 74/240 when I'm going to Haw Creek...Thanks for the update and hate you got a citation 😢
Absolutely
Ya , you did the right thing by being so respectfull .He was in the right and he was very nice .
You were wrong and admited it and took the consequences.
Thankyou for showing what a good citizen is .
Thank you Mark, great reporting 😊should have been verbal warning NOT a f…. Citation 😂
Class act Mark . Gentleman .
Thanks for the ride I was curious how the road was I drive what they call the commuter route 74-25 almost daily. Sorry that you got a ticket sometimes we gamble and loose.
Thank you for doing this. Ive been wanting to see it so badly. Thank you.
It looks really good! Passed a couple people playing in the road, as you saw, which was a strange sight for a usually busy place. Looked fun, though.
@jewels2149 anything you hear about mining is silly until proven otherwise
@@MarkHuneycutt why "silly"? People can't ask a logical question and inquire about something perfectly plausible (about possible mining)...how is that "silly"?
@@TheSwissChalet It's not really a logical question. Mining on the parkway? While they are trying really hard to clean and repair the road so it can be opened to the public? You've got to know better. You know what the area has suffered. Rumors are silly. I knew a kid who went up there on the parkway where it was closed, got stuck in a snowstorm & got lost. He died of hypothermia before they could find him. There's a reason always when they close the parkway.
I’ve been wondering. Thank you.
Sorry you got a ticket but thanks for the coverage.
Still, that had to be fun having the road completely to yourself for a while. 👍
Oops! You just provided the stimulation needed for someone to risk it!
It's usually like that in the winter. Once the leaves fall the locals have it all to ourselves until next spring.
That did make it fun
I watched all the ads for you. I hope everyone else does too to pay for your citation.
