Really enjoying all these BOSS instructional videos... great info, and well done. I realize these videos are a bit dated, but Kristen is amazing. Would love to find a woman like that... beautiful, and confident in the woods. Hard to find these days... Thanks for making these videos.
Wish I would have seen this before impact! if not for the shelter exactly but for the insulation advice; exhaustion from shivering and jolting is the only thing that caused me to sleep briefly. Thanks for posting.
@@TJackSurvival I could not agree with you, but actually do because you are absolutely right! Such the case in life. Thanks for the reply. Have you got anything on knots or navigation?
If your tarp is cotton, do not set it up tight. Cotton canvas contracts when it gets wet. If it is tight when it is dry, any moisture, e.g., rain, dew, will cause the cotton canvas to draw up. It will either pull your stakes out of the ground, or tear or stretch the canvas. When using cotton canvas, you must allow some slack when setting it up dry. Even if the only moisture is dew, damage can occur. Thanks for this excellent video.
I pretty much make the same shelter but I use an 8 X 10 silnylon tarp. I will build a fire off to the side and heat rocks for warmth at night. A wall of brush at the foot end helps a lot too.
When these videos popped up in my sub box, I swore I've seen them before(in fact I knew for sure because I practiced skills in these videos). Nice re-edit!
@@TJackSurvival oh, and I forgot funny, shes got an awesome sense of humor. Seriously, shes like the coolest chick ever. Big fan of your channel, following for years. Always look forward to new material and regularly revisit older stuff. Thx!
Excellent. (Rather than tying to the hood I would use a stick inside the hood so to keep it open for venting. Tie a rope to the stick to make it somewhat like a coat hanger and then tie it to the tree. Just a variation., not a criticism.) Very impressive.

Yes, but learning the hard way is the best way the first time. Now you have done it and you will never ever ever forget. Well done

Шикарная женщина! С такой не пропадешь.
Yes she is.
Outstanding!
+Steven Boyd Thanks!
I tried learning the trucker's hitch from Ylvis, but all I got were tired feet and a desire to be a firewatch. =oP
Awesome! LOL
Is the ground that hard that you chose to use rocks to hold your corners rather than stakes?
It can be yes. Teaching this skill gives you options. Anyone can use stakes. But why, if there’s a big rock laying there?
@@TJackSurvivalOptions are good but while anyone can use stakes there's plenty of good reasons most do! Just my 2 cents.
@@clinnyboy whatever accomplishes the goal works.

Nothing, but at the same time I've never had that issue.
Awesome !!
