This funny 1 min animation took me a whooping whole week to make lmao
(mostly due to inexperience)
Used The Battle VFX from Ruina, cause well uhh couldn't find the VFX for limbus
(I'm shit at after effects anyway)
But anyways enjoy!
(I don't have anything else to do...)
Dude, the combat animation has so much of the sinners' actual personality in it
Down to the fact that they're still a dysfunctional team at this point of the story

I love the small detail of the ID choice for the sinners here (7 Ryoshu, Shi Ishmael, WARP Faust, Base Gregor, Rabbit Heathcliff) because it perfectly encapsulates about what a newbie manager would have at this time. So disjointed and with no synergy whatsoever but you *have* to use it because you literally don't have anything else.
It's cool but I somehow prefer more Canon approach, which is to use default ids
@@reyzafany1992 actually this still would be Cannon accurate cause in story it is acknowledged in Dante's notes that the sinners have conversed and faught while having IDs equipped, he even acknowledged Ishmael coming back from the dead as her base form which was a detail mentioned in one of Dante's notes [I wanna say it's in Dante Notes #4 but I haven't read them in a while]
@@draconicprinceWhat I meant is that for this specific chapter I believe that the sinner is not using ids yet. Maybe I'm wrong.
@@reyzafany1992 that's fair, I can see where you're coming from in that regard. I personally disagree but it would be cool to see more animations with the base IDs since they're pretty under appreciated despite some of them being fairly strong even to Canto 6

I like what I see, though for the fight choreography I would recommend giving the enemies and characters more time to strutt their stuff. Since they always say sinners are dying a bunch (even though it's never like that in gameplay) you could afford to do a much higher kill count. You could even play it by the official cutscenes where everyone who doesn't appear in one died in the preceeding fight.
Like the Kromer fight where her logs state that she killed all backline sinners
This is really accurate to how casual sinners would, especially Heathcliff

Hey what do you use to animate these?
I used Adobe animate, but pretty much any editing or animating software that uses move keyframes works too you just need to know how to use them...

Pretty nice. Was this done using the Unity engine? I've had someone a while ago mentioned that they've used Unity for a quick Limbus animation, and I was wondering how it works or how hard it is since the sprites from the asset folder are bunched up into a Sprite Atlas (or that's what it's called?) instead of a standard spritesheet.
I used Adobe Animate, actually! First, I made the animations by making copies of each sprite sheet and croping them one by one for every sprite.
(ig that's why it took a long time to make)
And then adding the sprites on top of each other with removing previous sprite every frame.
(It was hard to align the positions...)
Then, I used my editor Shotcut to add sounds and text stuff
(I know you can do that in Adobe Animate, but uhh... it's easier for me to do it in shotcut.)
(free and easy to use!)
I feel like this is a really inefficient way to animate, and there might be a better way, but idk...
Oh yea, and also finding the voice lines that also took a long time except for identities voice lines.
(Had to browse through all cantos and voiced intervallos... and then ended up using only like 3 or 4 for this video lmao)
